I wrote in the last paragraph, If you think it a bad drama, then it is alright. Everyone has the right to like or dislike a drama. Nothing wrong with having different opinions about a drama.

My opinion about the last 2 episodes (ep 15-16):

First, I was actually surprised by ep 15. I thought DJ would kill HW to shut his mouth about the slush fund. But DJ announced the slush fund to be donated at early of ep 15, so the slush fund was not a ticking bomb anymore for DJ. I wondered what would happen next. The last 2 episodes should not be boring episodes, Then it happened that DJ was killed by HW, not the other way round. I jumped with joy. Ep 15 was indeed a special episode. The plot twist was amazing.

Then I watched ep 16 with curiosity how the writers would justify the twist. It turned out we, the audiences, have been led to look at the drama's story line from wrong beginning. We followed the story beginning from HW's experiences, while the writers switched it to begin from DJ's life.

If we follow the story line from DJ's life first, the chronology would be:
1. DJ's childhood to adult, to the accident.
2. When DJ is dying he wishes HW who is standing there watching his accident to help revenge the Jin family.
3. HW is convinced by his superior to forget the accident. He becomes employee of Soon Yang corporation.
4. HW is a loyal employee to Soon Yang corporation for 20 years.
5. HW is shot after following the order to take care of the slush fund.
6. DJ's wish comes true. HW is reborn to DJ's childhood and live DJ's life up to the accident. (The purpose is to train HW to understand Jin family's situation and to become skillful to take them down.)
7. HW's soul is back to HW's life.
8. Then the revenge to Jin family.

It is a brilliant idea. The writers just twisted the story line . They led us the audiences follow the story line from 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 7, 8 (3 is revealed in 8).

If you think it a bad drama, then it is alright. Everyone has the right to like or dislike a drama. Nothing wrong with having different opinions about a drama.

I like Reborn Rich from ep 1 to 16. Ep 15-16 have unexpected plot twists, but I still like them. You need to be very open minded to understand those 2 last episodes.

Naksu is a soul shifter. That is why Yul wants to end her life and to punish himself he would accompany her with ending his life too. Yul is like Park Jin. He obeys rules for the greater good. If every other soul shifters must die to avoid them killing innocent people bcoz eventually they would run wild no matter how good they are protected, then Naksu must die before she kills anyone too. In S1 it was Uk's responsibility but he didn't do it and even die being stabbed by Naksu. Yul thinks it is now his responsibility to do it. Remember when Kim Do Ju asked Park Jin if he would lock her up if she is dangerous to the world or something like that? He didn't say explicitly but Kim Do Ju understood Park Jin would have to choose the right thing and she said she would understand his choice.

LOL. I thought we would see in today's episode DJ orders the murder of HW because of the slush fund. Didn't expect it would be HW who kills DJ. What a plot twist. 🤣🤣

The ML character doesn't resemble a certain real life personality. But there are many things in the story that make Koreans think Soon Yang corporation resembles Samsung corporation. Some similarities with real life are:

1. The founder of Samsung was Lee Byeong Cheol. While the founder of Soon Yang was Jin Yang Cheol (Grandpa Jin). They both have Cheol in their names. They both talk in South Gyeongnam dialect/accent which is different from most Seoul people's accent. Lee Sung Min as the actor of Grandpa Jin nailed the accent accurately.

2. There is a scene of the statue of Grandpa Jin in ep 1. Samsung really has similar statue of Lee Byeong Cheol at their CJ building.

3. Same as Lee Byeong Cheol's daughter who was given the task to manage Shinsegae (one of the biggest department stores in Korea), the daughter of Grandpa Jin was also assigned to manage the department store of Soon Yang.

4. Lee Byeong Cheol didn't give the CEO position to his first son. He gave the first son 6 months chance, but because he was not capable enough, the position was given to the 3rd son. Grandpa Jin's first son is also not a very capable person.

5. Soon Yang competes with DaeHyun to acquire Ajin Motors. Samsung did compete with Hyundai to acquire KIA Motors but didn't win. KIA was acquired by Hyundai.

6. At ep 1, Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Jong Ki's first life character) looked at the handphone of a new staff and said it was not Soon Yang's HP. In real life in year 2015 Lee Jae Yeong (the youngest grandson of Lee Byeong Cheol) jokingly told a journalist who would like to interview him that his HP was LG, not Samsung. And later on he gave the journalist a Samsung HP before they started the interview. Although the incident is not really the same, but they have some similarity about the mentioning of Samsung HP.

There are other similarities, but not really the same.

The war is not over. The last 2 episodes (15-16) will be the finale. I hope Do Jun wins.

He said bad things about Do Jun before the delirium kicked in. It will be very interesting to see if the slush fund is a poisoned apple or not in ep 15 and 16. I hope Do Jun won't bite it. It is illegal money and he is very rich already without the inheritance.

I also think it was a drunk kiss. Don't hate me for thinking like that. But remember at S1, Ukkie was drunk after party? He woke up for a second searching for Mudeokkie who was not allowed to enter Songrim? He ended up being calmed down by Heo girl the whole night. He has a habit of thinking girls beside him as Mudeokkie when he gets drunk.

So far many parts of S2 ep 1 to 4 have been repeating the S1 with some modified dialogs and situations to create the deja-vu feeling to the audience. I hope the director will move on and develop the story faster after ep 4. Remember the production team seems to work on a wave of 4 episodes? Since there are only 10 episodes for S2, I think the wave would be 4-4-2.

We do not know yet if Grandpa Jin left the slush fund to Do Jun with good or bad intention. It could be a poison apple that looks good, but would harm Do Jun if he eats/accepts it. Remember Grandpa was sober and was saying bad things about Do Jun when the camera was prepared to record Grandpa with the slush fund inheritance will. My guess is it was with bad intention.

We also do not know yet who ordered the murder of Yoon Hyeon Wu (Song Joong Ki's first life). It could be Do Jun himself although I am not sure about this theory. But if Do Jun bites the poison apple Grandpa Jin left for him, he might want to shut Hyeon Wu's mouth forever about the slush fund. Remember Min Young said to Do Jun, she doesn't think getting Sung Yang corporation will be the end of Do Jun's ambition? He would want to keep it and more.

This kind of tricky money drama can turn a good person to a bad person easily. People are fragile when they face their own greed. But I do hope Do Jun would not bite the poison apple. He is smart, so far has good moral, and very rich already.

Anyway, let's find out further with ep 15 and 16.
