I think part 2 is the sequel of part 1, not prequel. I read somewhere the actress who played Heo Yoon Ok (granddaughter of Heo Yeom) joined the filming of part 2. She was involved with the story after she met Jang Uk in the middle of part 1, so she won’t be in part 2 if part 2 is a prequel.
I am not sure about it. But Buyeon seems like a nice girl. She probably just does the right thing. The ice stone should protect the man born with king star.
My theory is: Two souls (Naksu and Buyeon) are living in same body (Mudeok/JSM) at this moment. Naksu is the one controlling the body. Naksu does not realize Buyeon is in the body too. But two souls cannot live in same body forever. Sooner or later Naksu would have to return to her own body which somehow was not burnt. At the end of part 1, Buyeon would sacrifice herself using the ice stone energy to eject Naksu from the body and return Naksu to Naksu’s own body (GYJ). Buyeon would also put the ice stone into Jang Wook’s body to make him the strongest mage. By doing so Buyeon would die. 😭😭😭 That is why JSM (Buyeon's body) would not join part 2. The story would continue to part 2 with GYJ (Naksu in Naksu’s original body) as FL. I like JSM and really hope she would also be in part 2, but since her agent said she only signed for part 1... well, this is just my theory.
