Amazing, just like the other ones! You should really write an article about recommending different dramas (from…
Thank you for editing my articles! Hahaha thank you for the suggestion, That is something I totally would be interested in. Im such a sucker for troupes: Cross-dressing, contract marriage, cohabitation.
I came here coz I saw Haruma Miura at the poster. I miss his beautiful smile. The best actor in my heart forever! In…
Im sorry i didnt mean to do any misleading :(. I just didn't know how to integrate him into the articles but wanted to pay homage somehow, so i made him the the face of the articles, cuz he deserves it :)).
Oh, what a nice article! Thanks for all the context indications, I think it could pretty useful for newcomers.…
Thank you for reading! I love fansubs. The context they add is amazing, i don't care they have to pause to read all they notes, i love them even, getting educated!!. Such a missed opportunity!!! "Slice of Life" totally just went over my head, so disappointed in myself :(. its just cuz its not my genre and totally forgot. Do you have any recommendations?
The World between Us and Someday or One Day are my first and second Taiwan Drama, and I am so agree with you,…
Thank you for reading! I also feel Taiwan Dramas are more sincere, by guess is that the characters feel more real, and often we follow them though their daily convos and struggles. I integrate Taiwan dramas in my regular watching experience by following my favourite actors works and just trying to keep their dramas on my radar. They also have a impressive backlog of dramas, so they is always something to binge if i really want :)
Thank you so much for this useful guide! Nevertheless, I would also like to add a super-duper popular title- "The…
True True, it kinda felt like a sin, but i didn't know how to work it into the article. :( I don't think it is more beginner friendly, (compared than Joy of life )and the actors sadly don't have a strong backlog of dramas, YET. (i am keen for Oath of Love). At least we ur shout out :D
Love this article. IMHO, do NOT watch the trailers and also beware the first 2 minutes of each episode, they often…
So true, sometimes trailers for some reason will have the FULL storyline and plot laid out. It is so WEIRD! For example: Puff Kuo's The Second Sight Fall in Love.
Chinese contemporary/modern romcoms are definitely my favorite but this is inspiring me to check out some of the…
Yes, check out some historical Dramas, I thought the idea of historical dramas weird and foreign when I first come across then, but now i could never go back. I went for the time travel ones first, they made the transition less daunting and was a good gateway, but they are not as serious and often lower quality (and can be like crack sometimes). If thous types interest you try: The Eternal Love, Go Princess Go, The Journey.
Thanks for the article. What is 'Hong Kong accent'? Cantonese is the correct term . This is the language spoken…
hmmm ur not wrong. They way i think about is it, that Hong Kong accent is stronger than a overall Cantonese accent. For example IMO when i hear a Guang Zhou accent, i dont find as strong as the Hong Kong accent
Well I actually really liked "proud of Love", its actually so wack and ridiculous, it is a hilarious take on the body swap troupe. (it could be too different for some people). If you liked "my unicorn girl" i would say there is a safe chance you will like "proud of love" too. Darren actually gets some decent screen time (as a SML) and does shine through as well and of course Vivian is also great there as well (as always). Their characters in the beginning are actually dating, and its so funny to watch how the body swap, between the FL and ML, effects their relationship. so thats my long winded answer, YES I RECOMMEND.
I think its such a cool coincidence that this is Vivian Sung and Darren Chen's second collaboration. First in "Proud of Love" Vivian as FL and Darren as SML , and now in "My Unicorn Girl" Darren is the ML and Vivian is his coach (Support). <3.
HTX is a real CEO in the real world and in the novel world, but unlike the ZXE he isn't aware of the fact that…
Yeah , he doesn't know of her in the real world, but she knows him although only from a distance. He works in building adjacent to the one she works in and she has taken notice of him, captivated by his gorgeous looks and demeanour.
So I dropped after the first episode, but now I feel like I should give it a second chance. Thanks for the review.
Yeah, i reckon you should give another go!:) the first episode really does not showcase the best the drama has to offeerrr :D .Like i nearly gave up after the first ep haha
I think I’m slightly confused about the ML of the show. Is He Tian Xing supposed to be a A real CEO in the “real…
HTX is a real CEO in the real world and in the novel world, but unlike the ZXE he isn't aware of the fact that he is in a novel. Not all of the characters have counterparts in each worlds, maybe as the story progresses. For example, HTX's sister hasn't appeared in the novel worlds, and HTX's brother only just appear in recent episodes, but DMQF's counterpart in the real world has not be disclosed yet :), although there has been speculations. Hope that answers your questions :D
Bii's music is great!
