You've identified one of my pet hates in dramas - the evil character who says, "oops, sorry", and then all is…
ABSOLUTELY ultimately, family is the people who stay by your side no matter what. you don't have to share blood. i think that's a better message to spread than having to forgive your blood family regardless of what they did to you
They really give soulmate. Earn was a whole wife. They make me so soft it's not even funny. Both novel and series.…
i might read the novel now so I don't miss them too much!! i agree that 12 episodes, maybe even 10, would have made the show even better! AND YEA FUCK LADA'S MOTHER i don't have words for how horrible she is i think the father could have possibly redeemed himself by divorcing that witch and loudly supporting his daughter, bit since that didn't happen fuck him too
Can anyone recommend me some good Thai GLs? I have only watched 23.5 and this.(I'm watching the loyal pin too.)
i recommend Gap, Zero Photography, and The Two of Us (Deep Night side story).
Gap is very sweet and fun, with a little bit of drama towards the end. since you're watching The Loyal Pin, i think it's worth a shot, so you can get more familiar with Freen and Becky (theyre the main actresses for both Gap and The Loyal Pin).
Zero Photography is a short special with the GL side couple from Bad Buddy. It's short but beautifully done. Since you watched 23.5, you're already familiar with the main actresses Milk and Love, so you might enjoy watching them in something a bit different
The Two of Us is a very cute, short spin off to Deep Night (which you don't have to watch, like i haven't). the main actresses are great and very captivating
There are also some upcoming GLs that you might want to keep an eye out for:
Reverse 4 You is a fantasy about a girl who has the ability to control time, but has to deal with the consequences that brings. It comes out on August 31st, the trailer is on Youtube.
Affair is a drama about childhood friends being secretly in love for many years. It comes out on August 30th, the trailer is also on Youtube
Apple is a romance about a girl who starts dreaming about someone's eyes. One day, she sees a woman on TV and recognizes her as being the one in her dreams. there's no trailer yet, but there are some very fun videos with the cast on the Kongthup Channel on Youtube. The series comes out later this year
i still haven't written a comment since finishing tsou. but god, i love it so so much. this show really has a special place in my heart. the dynamic between earn and lada is one of my favorites. i have a couple of points that i wish would have been different. firstly, i don't think the redemption for lada's mom was earned. i would have loved to see lada cut her off entirely. what she did was not only toxic, it was beyond cruel. another thing is, i wish we got to see lada and earn talk more about their initial break up, in order to transition more smoothly from lada's reluctance to her forgiving earn. they going back to being a couple felt slightly rushed, but it didn't really take away from my love of the series. im going to really miss these characters. i believe it really set a new standard for thai gls, it's that good

it's a pattern ive been noticing in many gls ive been watching. i know that many Asian cultures value family bounds above all else. but i still wish we got to see characters cut off toxic and abusive family members. not everyone deserves redemption, and that's okay
finally watched the last episode! in the end, i enjoyed it. i felt like there were good moments, and i gave it a good rating. though i did wish they took some different decisions. 1- the character of mawin is completely pointless. it was clear from the start kim didnt love him (or even care about him). he was so bland. and was i supposed to feel sorry about him by the end? i didnt. i really hope we don't see anymore of the "lesbian is forced to marry a man due to family pressure" trope. there are much more interesting ways to create drama. 2- listen, i love a good slow burn, but damn. i know we often joke about lesbians being clueless, but it became so frustrating. maybe they could have realized their feelings around episode 7 or 8, and the rest of the drama could focus on different issues (like wan dealing with her acting career while also being oppenly in a lesbian relationship, or maybe flash out the side characters a bit more) 3- i felt like the side characters (besides the core friend group, i quite enjoyed their over the top silliness) didnt serve a solid purpose. pam, dokrak, toon and minnie felt very disconected from the storyline, they felt more like cameos than side characters. also jessie! her character was so interesting, but she barely appeared especially towards the end. 4- the dads. they showed up out of nowhere at the end and were suddenly forgiven by everyone. how do you abandon your wives and children, don't contact them for like a decade (not even to pay child support, though i dont know how the law is in thailand). im just tired of family members in dramas doing terrible things and getting redemption by the end, even though they did nothing to deserve it. 5- i wish the dream part was a better explored! it's such an interesting concept, and i feel like it would really set it appart from other series if we got to see more of it.
