the "mean parent" tag doesn't even begin to cover it. lada's mom is just disgusting. i really wish she doesn't get a redemption by the end. she doesn't deserve it. she should end up alone and miserable. i also think it's a good message to spread: just because someone is your blood family, doesn't mean you need to forgive the horrible things they did to you. the father's heart is in the right place, but i still believe he should stand up more firmly to the mother (and hopefully divorce her).
