i totally get what you mean, though i'm not sure who directed the series minor spoilers ahead, but i belive that they chose to put the girls kissing in the first scene to make it clear that it's a GL, and capture the attention of the audience who is looking for this type of content. after the first scene of them kissing, we go back 3 months. at the beginning of the episode, one of them main characters, Nabdao, is actually looking for a boyfriend (my interpretation so far is that she's bisexual). so, maybe, without the first scene, some people could be confused and think it's actually a straight drama. however, she soon meets the other main character Waela, and they start telling their story. so i believe they will dive a bit deeper into their relationship. i'm not sure that was the thought process behind it, but the kissing scene didn't feel overdone or male gazey, at least to me, and the rest of the episode was quite cute and sweet! i think it's worth giving it a shot, especially since it's so short (if you feel like it, of course) hope this was at least a little bit helpful!
i think the GAP comparisons will be inevitable. but other than it being a boss/employee romance, i don't think there are that many similarities. LML has a theme of soulmates and destiny, which is quite interesting, and the boss is very nice so far, really different from GAP. maybe Nabdao and Mon are a bit similar in their cheerful personalities, but that's about it
FIRST EPISODE WAS CUTE!! simple story and low budget, but it captivated me! leads are gorgeous and so is ray, i'm interested to see more of her character.

i have to agree. i'm just not conviced about boston's change of heart, it was very sudden. it would be more enjoyable for him to continue being a little shit. even top's "redemption" was better. though he didn't convince me either, the show took more time showing his "growth" (and i cant believe im saying that, trust me, im #1 top hater). for a show that tried so hard to be different from the typical bls, it ended up being pretty basic, with the "nice guys" (mew and nick) falling completely in love with the "bad guys" (top and boston) and forgiving everything they did to them because... i guess bc they're hot? sandray were definetely the highlight of the show. i feel like their relationship was the one that actually brought something new to the genre. defiitely toxic at times, but still interesting and emotional. anyway, im rambling also, i will be kinda sad if they introduce dan just to be nick's rebound for like an episode. what's even the point of that? kinda lazy in my opinion
can i just say, if all the couples are endgame, it will be so disappointing... it's the most predictable and boring ending the show could possibly have
