it's just that all the other gl shows are getting delayed... i was specially sad about 23.5 getting pushed back to 2024. now love senior is the only show left that could possibly air in 2023 and apparently the actresses confirmed that it's coming this year 👀
I understand how you feel and I also want to watch 23.5 right now, but I think Cherry Magic does make sense since…
absolutely agree. the actors, crews, and shows deserve no hate whatsoever, and did nothing wrong as you said (with the exception of actors who are actually problematic, but that's obviously the minority). sorry if i came across as agressive, my anger is exclusively directed as gmmtv as a company. i am excited to watch cherry magic, cooking crush and especially last twilight, im sure they will all be very good. i only mentioned the other projects to illustrate the different treatment. i do believe 23.5's case is different from other projects that end up getting delayed. gmm is a company that prides itself on its "diversity" and made bl its brand, profiting off from queer stories while completely ignoring the sapphic community, with some rare cases where they included sapphic side couples with very limited screentime. after years, a gl was finally announced, initially with a mostly male cast aside from the main gl couple. the production status of the show was kept under wraps for months, until the rumors that they were adding viewjune started. even with the rumors, gmm still kept the reveal for months. finally, they announced that the bl couple was leaving to get their own project, but did not announce the new gl coupleright away. after even more time with no news, it's suddenly revealed that filming was already on Q4. the leads, as far as i remember, got only one event together to promote the series. and now, when filming is mostly done, we get the announcement that it will take even longer to air. their first ever gl series, and they can't even release it in the year that they initially promised. 23.5 represents a lot more than just another gmm drama. it's a very important step for lesbian representation, and gmm doesn't seem to understand, or care, about that. and that's really heartbreaking. for this reason, i do believe 23.5 should have been prioritized over other bl and lakorn releases, but it was completely left aside. anyway, sorry this got so long?? and just to be clear, im agreeing with you, but ended up going off on a tangent lol
the one thing that makes me feel a bit better about all this is that 23.5 will undoubtedly be one of their most popular series and they will feel so fucking stupid for how they're treating it
after so many years and hundreds of series, they finally announce ONE gl, and they're treating is like it's nothing... like what's wrong with them?? (we know the answer. its lesbophobia)
the way gmm can release 20 bls and lakorns in a year, but not a single gl... even though said gl series is almost done filming. reminder that hidden agenda aired 7 WEEKS before it was done filming. and they really chose to air cherry magic first, which started filming much later in comparison to 23.5. the difference in treatment is not a coincidence, and im so exhausted.
We've both got same rankings. No matter the redemption arc they are trying to put on Top, doesn't make me hate…
same!! ive said it before, but even though boston and top are both awful, at least boston is interesting and makes things fun. top, on the other hand, is just plain boring. his "redemption" is not convincing at all because we simply don't know anything about him. hes completely 2 dimensional
and apparently the actresses confirmed that it's coming this year 👀
