Romance is not his forte. He is more into action, sageuk and thriller drama and he is very good in it. People consider him as one of the best action star in SK and also king of sageuk ( historical drama).
That's why maybe the reason producer never offer him romance drama ^^ ( he said several times that he'd like to try romcom but no producer offer him one🤪) I'm not complaining..he is very good in this genre and I think it's a waste of his talent to play in fluffy/romance drama.

Most international viewers only know webtoon since there was english translation for it. While korean viewers read original novel and got better understanding about drama . The thing is webtoon change several things from novel such as romance part (no romance in webtoon) and how CTS died. That also maybe the reason this drama got high rating in korea and they love it very much because it stay true to the novel and according to them its the ending of this drama is very realistic.

SJK rejected the role. Most JG fans dont really want him to accept the offer. Too much negativity from AC fans when it's not even his fault and feel like Studio Dragon thrown him as bumper because they unable to cast SJK back. But of course, his choice. Also SSK, poor her. SSK was the first choice for AC season 1 but she rejected it, the role went to KJW. And now they offer her again.
