what a breath of fresh air. This drama feels much more natural than 90% of trending modern cdramas. I hope the main leads actors will get main parts in longer format dramas soon!
It's incredibly refreshing in terms of acting and the chemistry between the whole cast of the drama. Also, the relationship and their development between the ML's sister and his friend has become my new top noon romance story in the cdrama land, and I've watched a lot of those.
At first I thought it was a nice and refreshing fake marriage trope reversal - usually in dramas men are getting women trapped in a marriage for their own benefit in exchange for money. But no, it's all nonsense. FL is what I guess men imagine a strong female character is - loud, rude, and always meddling. The ML is your typical cold highly moral guy, what you usually see from Yang Yang or Lin Yi.
Side note, but the FL is crazy to make the ML wear golden frame glasses in the bedroom because the guy is absolutely gorgeous as he is, like what do you mean????
I haven't seen such a shitty red flag ML in any drama I've seen, including verticals - and that says a lot. They destroyed the FL character as well. That was so bad...
Should've been a 10-episode series max. I gave it 8 only for great acting of the main leads and solid making out scenes. Otherwise, it felt like I was watching someone's grad project - the director saw cool things in other films and decided to use it in the drama without really making it their own - some scenes and dialogues felt out of place.
Also, I've finished the drama and still can't understand what's that big horrible thing that the FL was hiding from everyone about her past? He weight, bullying, her father's business? No idea...
Loved the drama overall but why have a romantic subplot and make it so half-baked. In Vincenzo we at least got a kiss in the end! At the same time I loved that they didn't start anything midway through the drama and it didn't get in the way of the main mystery resolution like it happens so often in western shows. I really loved the acting and how natural everyone looked for their roles.
ok I have a really serious question as an european woman. Many defend the mother but I agree with those who say…
No, it's not normal. People use culture to excuse horrible behaviour all the time. Abusive mother characters rarely get any accountability in any of cdramas sadly.
The incident at the restaurant before she got drunk, he helped her fix the situation and when answering the junior's…
my comment was more about how he left her in the hotel knowing that she was out of it with that receptionist being super suspicious. he only called her because he was looking for his car keys...
I'm on ep6 and... am I missing something or the ML is not a good man at all? The way he handled that motel situation and how he treats the FL before he realises his feelings... He gives off the vibe of those men who only respect women that they have feelings for and even that ends when those women annoy them.
At this point I'm more invested in that doctor x bodyguard/secretary story.
This drama should be labelled as psychological thriller/torture. Sure, there's some romance in it and amazing tension between the main leads but omg at some point it turns into a complete torture for everyone involved: main leads and us, viewers. I hope that in reality women in China are actually treated as autonomous human beings and they are able to make decisions without overthinking who might get offended by them or what peole might think 🙄🫤ðŸ˜
You don't need to petition for him to get ML roles. He has dramas as ML lined up already. Look at his profile…
Don't take it so literally. All I was saying in my comment was that I loved his acting and want to see more of him. Obv neither director nor the actor himself will see it 😂 They don't care about international ratings at all 😄
Petition for Wu Jun Ting to be given more ML roles because he was excellent in Moonlit Reunion. I started following him when I saw My Lover Friend where he and his character stole the show for me. Shame it wasn't properly developed in that drama!
Many Chinese costume dramas have happy ending + satisfying ending. You have so many choices with those categories.…
Fair enough - I haven't seen most of the dramas you mentioned but they're on my to watch list.
Now that some time have passed after I finished KMLM, I'm not sure I'm a big fan of how the story unfolded tbh and i still hate the ending - it was so unnecesary. But acting and cinematography are solid.

p.s. I've seen The Princess Royal - loved it a lot!
