Thank you! I often feel like I've been watching a different show when everyone else in the world loves it and I'm like, "What in the world did I just watch!?"
I'm not a fan of Historical dramas usually (too many hats, facial hair, plethora of bad guys, etc.). However, when reading the cast list, wow! Lee Jae Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Jae Wook all together in one place??? I may have to give this one a try!
Does this have a happy ending? Spoilers/explanations are welcome, because the butterfly effect is often confusing to me. Wondering if I should watch this before the Korean version "A Time Called You" comes out later this year. Ahn Hyo-seop, whom I love, will be in it, but I can't with sad endings...
My opinion, but I had strong feelings about this show, especially after enjoying the To All the Boys trilogy. Words can't describe how much I disliked this show. The writing was bad, the characters were unlikeable (especially Kitty - yes, she acted like a sasaeng and was completely caught up in herself and her problems). I didn't care for the acting (except for Sang Heon Lee, who really grew on me), and the LBGTQ agenda was thrown into the story in multiple ways. Time I won't get back.
20 episodes is considered short. This makes me laugh, because the writers would be better served to cut down the longer dramas to a more manageable length. When reading people's comments, I see a LOT of "I really enjoyed it, but I fast forwarded through a lot of it".
What draws you to a series? An actor/actress or a storyline? I'm struggling on whether to watch this or not. I love Kim Woo Bin, but this story is absolutely not up my alley. This type of drama is kind of what moved me to Korean shows to begin with, to escape the darkness, the violence, the language, etc.
