I know that everyone's tastes are personal, but I tend to appreciate the review of others so as to not waste time. There's so much content out there, we just gotta keep looking for something better, you know?

Bangtan Sonyeondan/ BTS aka the biggest group in the world and one of the greatest musicians ever
I just wanted to say I love your username. One of my favorite Run BTS episodes ever!

Does Jungkook has the Black Belt too? I thought its Jimin... and the one who loves taking fotos (esp selfies)…
V loves photography, he's mentioned it numerous times.

I can only watch one thing at a time, I have the attention span of a fruit fly, apparently. That said, I'm a binge-watcher from the standpoint of waiting until the whole series has aired before watching. (I'm also not good with delayed gratification!). Someone commented about increasing the speed when watching, which is a great point. Sadly, more often than not, what I am watching has a lot of wasted stuff in it and I FF through that stuff. There are only a couple of shows that I had wished I had savored from the aspect of just watching one episode a night, but those are shows that I'm willing to re-watch, so I slow it down the second time around.

I completely agree with you on this show. I loved it so much, and have re-watched it a couple of times. (I did find it fascinating that they were talking about a virus from China being released into the US, and this was filmed pre-covid.) The actors, the storyline, the tension, the comedy, all were spot on.

Review Yumi's Cells
Although, my review is totally different than yours, I actually enjoyed reading your review. I think your POV…
You are right. I don't mind the long pauses so much, but the immaturity got to me. I also like to see the growth of a character, and I felt that both of them were in emotional prisons of their own making. I think points of view are also affected by our moods at the time as well. There have been a couple of shows that I hated and then went back to them later and loved them. I'm now on the hunt for a romantic romance-y romance with little angst, good communication, and a happy ending. I'm not asking for much!

Thank you for the lead to SPRICTLY BALLROOM; I will make sure to watch it as well!
It's an Australian rom-com from 1992. Somewhat campy, but fun.

Okay, upon self-reflection, I tend to not be a quitter for multiple reasons: everyone in the world loved the show and I'm the only one that hated it (I, of course, think that I'm wrong in my thinking and must trudge on and finish it) - that's a lot of pressure! I also suffer from, "surely it will get better" syndrome. Then when it doesn't, I'm bummed because that's time I'll never get back. Then, there's "how can I write a review if I didn't complete it?" - It's not that I think that my reviews are make-or-break for anyone but myself - my memory is so bad that I write reviews to remember what I watched and what I liked or disliked about the show. Thankfully, I have enough shows that I've loved that I can re-visit them between shows that I didn't enjoy, kind of a K-drama way of palate cleansing.

There are some dramas that I have dropped simply because it wasn't the right time for me to watch them. I just…
You are so right about timing. When I first tried to watch Chicago Typewriter, I hated it with the heat of a thousand suns and only got through a couple of episodes. Fast forward a year, I don't know what made me try it again, but I absolutely loved it! SWDBS will always be one of my favorites! I think people might get put off by the "campiness" at the beginning of it.

Review Run On
So many reviews praised ML's acting. It seems like the character had asperger's; he never looked at the person…
I totally thought that too, but perhaps the issue could have been addressed? I guess my biggest problem was that I didn't feel real relationship development. Some of these dramas use up so much time with bickering and misunderstandings, that they bypass actual conversations between the characters that show why they like each other.

Great article! I agree with you for the most part. For a couple of those reasons, I tend to stay away from historical. Though the costumes are beautiful, I find them distracting. The men all tend to look alike to me. I like that the 2FL is not at mean as current dramas, I like them being more straightforward with their confessions, but I don't like tragic endings at all! I love Lee Joon-Ki, but I think it would kill me if I watched Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo! I just can't do sad endings, especially after investing in a couple throughout a whole series for them not to be together (I don't know if that's what happens in that drama, just an assumption). Another thing that historical dramas have is how beautifully they are filmed, the costuming, the sets, etc.

The only one I've seen on this list is Hinnari Girori no Yoriko-san and I found it to be a quiet and peaceful show to watch, with leisurely conversations between the two main people. Thank you for this list, I'm adding them to my ever-growing list of shows to watch!

Oh, thank you! Sometimes I feel like I am watching something completely different from everyone else and I start to question myself - "Am I the only one that just doesn't get it?!" If I can't like/root for the main characters early on, I really don't like it. I need to become more like you. There is something that makes me want to finish shows, even if I'm not liking them, thinking "it's got to get better", yet it never does! Then I'm mad at all the time I wasted.
