Although I usually think that you need to give a drama more than two episodes to settle into it, I really appreciate your well thought out review, and your specific reasons for not liking it. You mentioned over-the-top...I think this is coming off my list of Plan to Watch dramas. Thank you!

It's a 30-episode drama and they don't get together until ep. 24?!?! Is it actually slow burn or are the first 23 episodes rife with filler?

I love this version too, but I have trouble finding where to watch it.

I don't know if this will help, but Chinese dramas aren't my absolute favorite. There are a few that I have loved, but the others wear out my fast forward button. I wasn't going to watch this because the trailers didn't grab me. But the other day I was thinking that I desperately need a good romance, and I landed on this. It is slow, as Chinese dramas tend to be, but their issues are somewhat relatable. I'm a sucker for a man pining after a woman, and this ticked that box for me. I kept thinking that the FL should have been in counseling for her issues. I'm only halfway through, and I hope she learns to open up, trust someone, and share her past with them. I am amazed at how much I am enjoying this one.

Addressing #5, I'm with you. I found this drama VERY romantic. I can't speak to the second half because I'm not there yet, but I find the ML romantic in the way he cares for her and his quiet yearning. I also love that he's loved her for a long time.

Thank you for explaining so well the correlation. To be honest, I can't see it at all. The brother in HL had a big personality, but the ML here is quiet. I'm enjoying both in their own way.

I just hope there is SOMETHING likeable about the mains, in order to keep me watching.

Not to mention the toxic relationship and the evil mother of the ML!

Do Disney K-Dramas ever go to other platforms? I don't want to have to get yet ANOTHER streaming service.

Does this have a decent HE for the main couple? If it's an open ending or weird I'm not going to waste my time. I can't EVEN with her mother!!

Could someone please enlighten this confused old lady? We start out with Choi Eun Sul, who comes home to find her family murdered gets chased by the killer and gets hit by a car. Then we have the policeman's sister, named Choi Eun Sul that gets murdered in the hospital. Then the woman that wakes up is the original Choi Eun Sul, but she has no memories and is going by the name of Oh Cho Rim. So, did the policeman's sister just happen to have the same name? Did they switch the original Choi Eun Sul to Oh Co Rim to protect her?

That, or the writing was bad. I managed to get through it, not dropping it and then reviewing it after watching only two episodes. This was merely my opinion after watching it.

just me, but I like the fact that he has retained all his memories and is working from that. Another season would probably become just another courtroom/corruption drama. Though I'd probably still watch for Ji Sung!

I hope not, but the people involved are hoping for a second season.
