lol I had to do a quick skim through to remember and listen to their conversations but what I got is they were together for 9 years (or possibly known each other that long because he says in the last episode how can I not see you when we have been for 9 years) since he was 20 years old (i think i could be wrong about this lol i am not fluent) that's the first time he saw her and fell for her and they were both similar age and path in life when they met but with time their circumstances and priorities changed and they grew apart. They both ended up applying for the same job and got called in for the interview but he ended up getting it I think and since then their relationship just deteriorated but they both tried to make it work because i think they genuinely did love each other. But considering how he got the job instead of her i think that distanced them too because they both started hiding certain feelings and not really openly discussing things. She was worrying that she would be stuck in that cafe forever and nothing would change for her and he didn't tell her that he had decided to work and dropped out of I heard University prep classes but not sure about this since the age wouldn't be right.. he went on a work orientation and was hesitant to tell her he didn't want to upset her so he tried not to talk about work too much and tried to be there for her more but he got busy with the new job and couldn't be there for her like before (he even ended up missing her birthday that episode where she waited till late it was after midnight when he came and cried) and in the last 2 episodes she finds out he is missing a work MT (membership training) for her without even telling her and tells him to stop acting nice all the time that he must be tired and to go on the MT and come back that he must be tired. He hesitates but agrees and then falls asleep with her there to spend more time with her even though he is tired and she wants him to go back. The voiceover in the end was something along the lines of Now I understand (from the girl's pov) that it was all for my happiness and i think thats when she decides to break up with him probably realizing they have grown apart and that she is holding him back. The last episode is the breakup but it starts with him asking her why she is breaking up with him again (she tried once before but it didn't last long at all) he spends that entire episode just asking her and trying to reason with her and being upset because he doesn't want to lose her and she is just crying but not saying anything and staying firm. He asks her if she wants to go have a meal and she agrees but it's all very sad because you can tell they both know they're breaking up and in the end his voice over says something along the lines of now i understand or now i know what this means (when they walk out and she opens her arms to him and then hugs him) meaning he knows this is it. They're done. They both know it and go for their I guess last meal together. I apologize for any inaccuracies lol I only took one class a long time ago lol but watching their scenes again I found I actually felt like I could understand majority of it. I just don't know how to actually do the subbing

yeah i watched it raw so didn't understand most of it but it definitely looked like in the missing year between the drama and the special they became closer and possibly could turn into something more

i hope you like it.. you might still end up dropping it since everyone has different tastes but personally i am really glad i gave this a chance. it became one of my all time favourite romances. i still dislike the dubbing chinese dramas tend to have but i understand their reasons and tolerate it lol. i usually don't like female characters like the one here but somehow she pulled it off and made me love her

I had actually seen both the leads in previous dramas where I ended up dropping them because I couldn't really get into the dramas or their characters/acting so I was really hesitant to watch this but I am so glad I did because I fell absolutely in love with not only the drama but both of them as well. I added both those dropped dramas back to my list to give them another try.

LOL I just started it but I have seen the original Korean version and the Thai remake already so I know what you're talking about. From the first couple episodes at least it seems they have tried to change some things I don't know if you have watched the other two but this one seems to have at least tried to be a tiny bit more progressive and less annoying with the side characters but I I am only 3 episodes in so I guess I'll find out lol. I am already prepared though for the ridiculousness because I already have seen 2 versions of this actually I think 3 I saw bits of the Phillipines version as well and some clips of the Turkish version (not really counting the Pakistani version because they changed a bit too much of the story to make it more traditional). The thai version so far managed to make me love the leads chemistry so much and their scenes so damn cute that I actually forgave all the other annoying parts and even annoying acts our leads ended up committing that I usually loathe.

When a drama has all your favourite actors but looks really....(insert nicer word for bad)...

I cried so much watching episode 30. For the longest time I was hesitating watching this drama despite loving Gong Jun because I hate the whole separation storyline especially one such as this with a 6 year time gap where she hides her son from him. It was completely un-necessary (especially since she just could have gone to Germany with him or at least not gone on this long). But the show had high ratings apart from everyone hating on the time jump and I also saw fmvs for the second lead couple that I loved and decided to finally watch it. And I am so glad I did. I really wasn't sure how they were going to pull it off without me hating someone but somehow they did. This is probably one of the best sacrifice for love/time jump storylines I have seen. They kept it light most of the time but when the emotional parts came they truly got inside your heart and made you feel everyone's feelings and emotions. When Gong Jun walked through their apartment and imagined her crying over leaving him all those years ago and cried for his pain and hers it really hit me hard and made me cry so hard. Hats off to all the actors especially ZYT for making me love her character despite making bad decisions I normally end up hating characters for. I still think it was un-necessary but I love how they didn't just brush it off either but really showed the effect on everyone of that one decision, even including the mom feeling guilty about going to talk to ZYT about the Germany thing. Truly beautifully done.

Also, the huge time jump was I guess also needed to bring in the cutie yoyo. Honestly, this kid is going places. So adorable and talented. And the scenes between both the couples this time around after the time jump are even cuter than before. I think I am actually enjoying these episodes after the time jump even more and I didn't think that was possible. I end up re-watching all the scenes multiple times so I am still stuck on episode 31 lol.

Yeah like I expected the death from TVN, they have a pattern now to create grey/bad characters that get a redemption arc and make you fall in love with them before killing them off in the end in sacrifice for someone else (See: Crash Landing on You, Tale of the Nine Tailed and now this. My heart cannot handle all this heartbreak!) but seriously at least they could have given him a decent send off. If Vincenzo had tried to help or had been incapacitated it would have made more sense.

Everything was amazing except those 5 minutes surrounding Han Seo's death. First off I loved him and did not want him to die but even if I put that aside the way they killed him off was ridiculous. It was like Vincenzo forgot his brain at home and forgot how to move. He was glued to CY and didn't even spare Han Seo who was risking his life for them a glance. HS saved his life 4 times at the risk of his own and finally died and VC didn't even acknowledge or grieve for him? No funeral, no memorial, not even a simple thank you? And it really all could have been avoided if he helps HS beat Han Seok instead of going for CY. He literally just sat there and stared at everything dumbly. That is so out of character for Vincenzo it would be laughable if it wasn't so damned sad.

Very possible.. I don't understand Chinese at all sadly. I'll look for this with eng subs too I do like watching shows like this to find new biases. Thank You for letting me know ! also love your username lol

I probably accidentally wrote this on the wrong season lol I most likely wanted the Dylan Wang season which I watched but without subtitles. Iqiyi i think also has no subs for super idol unfortunately.

I have two episodes of my little happiness left still couldn't finish it all in time and then the next time I had I started run on because I just really wanted to lol and I am only 4 episodes in and loving it so far. My little happiness was also very cute and plus points for another healthy relationship and love the second lead couple even more than the first but there was just some slight thing missing to keep me from fully getting the feel even though everything was great. Run on I got the full feels from the first episode. It has to be one of the most unique male lead characters I have seen in drama land. I love Siwan and he is pulling this role off perfectly

Same, I need more dramas like these ! He is gorgeous and acting on point too. I lose myself in his eyes every time.

*blush* thank you ! Maybe one day I will get off my butt and actually write a novel like I have always wanted to lol. And same for me I absolutely loved Seo Jun as well and usually I get annoyed by second leads but I couldn't get annoyed at him he was too frikking adorable. And I adored his friendship with SH as well. I am glad they remained friends. All of them. I do wish he had been given his own love line or at least gotten over his feelings for JK maybe in the two year time jump. And I would kill for a season 2 with SJ getting his own love line. But I know it won't happen. I read some spoilers for the webtoon and I am actually so glad the writers changed things around for the drama.. I am not a fan of love triangles or when a lead is torn between two people or dates multiple people so I am sure I would have disliked the webtoon. In the drama it was always SH for JK. She never swerved. Not even a little bit. Which made me happy but at the same time sad for SJ. And I wish he had been at the wedding at the end. His band members were there so it didn't make sense for him to be the only one busy because of the debut lol and In Yeop went there the day of the shooting anyway to cheer on the rest. they should have just put him in lol. I was a tiny bit disappointed in ep 15 with the whole unnecessary breakup and then after all this time SJ still holding a torch for her and all of a sudden going out of character and pursuing her full on. I personally would have preferred for SH and JK to have not broken up and stayed strong through their time apart and for SJ to get over JK and remain friends and maybe hopefully find someone else in my perfect ending lol. But it wasn't too bad how they ended things. It was still one of the better endings I have seen in dramas. I gave it a 10/10 in the end because of all the feels it made me feel.

saame ! I actually ended up giving it a 10/10 I enjoyed it that much despite some minor disappointments. I was so pleasantly surprised with this one. I only went in for the cast really. I am not a fan of love triangles much and the reviews were so harsh I didn't think it would be this good
