Yeah the writing was...something. Their chemistry is the only thing that kept me. Plus LXY slayed all his crying…
yesss their chem was so good! the tension, the looks, the heat... so good. and LXY is honestly such a good actor. he's not afraid to show every emotion in vivid detail. his crying scenes had me in tears.
Last year we had A Journey to Death, this year we have Kill Me Kill Me π
i HATE sad endings, and seem to have the unlucky talent of picking dramas with SE from the very beginning and getting really invested in the stories and lives of the characters. fml. i was so obsessed with AJTL last year and it broke my heart... and now this one. i'm over it ππ
despite the shit writing, nobody can deny that Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yi absolutely SLAYED their roles. the writing was inconsistent (at best), but they took whatever was thrown at them and turned it to gold. masterful acting and insane chemistry. i'm just hoping LXY's next role has better writing... he's one of my favourite actors, and he deserves a better script.
i'm ignoring all the pain and just jumping to the end where they're reunited in a parallel world lol. that's the ending they deserve and it's the only one i'll accept π₯²
god, i'm about done with historical dramas tbh. there was no reason to change the novel... they ruined the story. all these Chinese dramas have fucking sadistic writers istg. i'm so pissed
I cannot get over LXY in all these costumes... Kudos to the wardrobe department, he looks HOT AF in all his outfits. But the armor??? π₯΅ππ₯ Ooof.
Ugh, this show is delivering ALL the right things. The angst, the tension, the chemistry (π₯), the intrigue, the humor... it takes a very special hand to blend all these things well, but KMLM is doing it with aplomb. On top of all that, you need excellent, seasoned actors to handle a plot like these, and I have not been disappointed. Such a great drama so far. β€οΈβπ₯
I was actually iffy about him initially cos I did not really like the way he deliver his lines at first, and also…
I totally get that!! I've seen him in a few shows before this one, and I was unsure about him originally... once I realized he has a very unique style, I fell in love with his acting. He's not flashy, but his acting has so much depth and poignancy... and yesss, his EYE ACTING?! Likeee, he says so much with his eyes alone. So much emotion. He has the eyes of a much older man, and it comes across so powerfully in roles like this. He embodies the grief and pain and loneliness of Wichai so completely, it's hard to believe he IS only acting sometimes.
Whoa, I saw one scene on YouTube and knew I had to give this one a try... I was actually bawling watching the latest episode. Tor never disappoints, and Wichai stole my heart from the very first moment.
This drama is INTENSE. It's dark and gritty and keeps taking me by surprise, and I LOVE IT. LXY absolutely kills darker, brooding roles, his acting is (as usual) phenomenal, and the FL is badass. I'm really enjoying this so far! ππ₯΅π₯
i'm really enjoying it! it has a different vibe from most wuxia dramas that i've seen... the plot is moving along, cast is fantastic, and the cinematography is gorgeous!
Iβm still not recovered from AJTLπ, i will wait and see if I can take this one π«€
SAME! i fell in love with AJTL (i was fully obsessed before i realized it was SE), and that ending absolutely broke my heart. the soundtrack still makes me cry lol.
maybe it'll be better with this one since we know it's SE from the very beginning. maybe. π
Omg this show is gorgeous. Talented actors, the cast has good chemistry, the story-line (so far) is sad but so intriguing... and Joseph looks good covered in blood π I'm really enjoying these first episodes!
