Word of Honor. Great bromance and wuxia. Lots of fun fight scenes also and clever conversations between the main…
Ooh, thank you for the rec! I've heard of "Word of Honor" but it's hard to weed through all the wuxia to find the best options for beginners. Lol. I'll give this a try!
And yaaas, another bromance fan! π€ I like Professor X and Magneto a lot and absolutely adore the Sherlock x Watson bromance. Arthur and Merlin from the BBC show "Merlin" was probably my first favorite bromance, and it just grew from there. π
omg first wuxia! I wasn't sure should I recommend my friend to watch this as first wuxia.how do you like it so…
Maybe that's why I like MLC so much, haha! Normal wuxia doesn't usually interest me much, but this show kept catching my attention and I couldn't escape from it.
"Love and Redemption" and "The Wolf" are also on my too-watch list, and I'll add "The Long Ballad"! Thank you for the recs. I don't know if wuxia/xianxia will ever REALLY be to my taste, but MLC definitely got me interested in them. I'll see where it goes. π
These are both on my list! I'll have to watch them soon. Xu Kai always impresses me and I love seeing an actor portray characters with such different personalities. π
I'm pretty new to Chinese dramas as well! I started watching Korean dramas last year (after swearing I'd never be interested lol) and have recently added Chinese dramas to my list. I'm not usually interested in historical or wuxia dramas, but this one captivated me.
Xu Kai has been a favorite of mine since I saw clips of him on YouTube... he's more subdued than some other Chinese actors (and many use this point to say he's a bad actor), but he portrays so much with his eyes, and his expressions are always perfectly calculated to portray what needs to be shown. Episodes 30 & 31 of WOL absolutely blew me away. I never knew Xu Kai could make me cry so much, but he did. Lol. Truly some of his best work, in my opinion. He never disappoints.
okay, but can we talk about episode 31 ππ i've always liked Xu Kai, but his acting that episode absolutely blew me away - and broke my heart. i don't even have words. his portrayal of grief and pain was so visceral, i could physically FEEL it. damn.
I am here and SEATED for this drama π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ First episode was SO good... I'm in love with the MC's chemistry and absolutely adore the direction this is going. π₯Ίπ₯°

i'm loving it so far! π₯Ή never thought i'd watch wuxia, tbh, but i adore cheng yi so thought i'd give it a try. i love the characters so much. and i'm a huge sucker for bromance π₯²π₯²
do you have any recommendations for good wuxia? there are so many lol
I'm loving this drama so far! I don't understand the criticism of KYD's acting, he's absolutely killing his role β there is so much expression and emotion behind his eyes. The leads have FIRE chemistry, the story line is intriguing, and it's angsty (and sexy) af. I hope it has a happy ending, but I'm here for the ride, either way.
i'm so disappointed in this drama :( i had such high hopes because i LOVE the original, and i loved the first few eps of this too. i loved the chem between the MC. they're cute and funny and sweet... but they've had absolutely zero relationship/character development. heck, they barely even have SCENES together.
too much focus on secondary characters (who gives af about the grandmother's love life?!), and too much focus on the plot. i love OSW (and i still love Heeshik) but everything else is disappointing me. such a bummer.
Whoa, this show hooked me FAST. I saw a clip of the MC on twitter and was so intrigued by their chemistry (& how sweet the ML is π) and the rest was history.
This show is solid. Incredible performances by the cast, & the plot just keeps thickening. π I canβt wait for more. π₯
I uploaded all the episodes on drive, let me know if the link doesn't work: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1fNGz1zax9YGhwo-qZPH5r9-jTIq7nY72?usp=sharing
Thank you so much! I've been trying to find this drama for a long time. β€
that is the point of this forum, this is not a fan portal or something, people are allowed to crititcise what…
Thatβs literally just your interpretation of what I said lmfao . I never said people shouldnβt criticize it, I was merely expressing my amusement at the fact that people take time out of their day to come here and complain. Itβs not that deep.
Finally finished this drama, and I really enjoyed it overall. The plot felt a bit draggy at times, and the romance was too on and off for me but I adore the MC (and Eunhyuk π«ΆπΌ) and I'll watch anything with JCW. Lol. I probably won't watch it again, but I'm glad I finished it. π
I need another season with them ASAP. π They're still one of my all-time favorite couples, & I'm SO excited to see this episode alksdjflksdjf ππ₯°
