I didn't read the novels, my logic is pure drama reasoning. Since in the beginning of MM it was stated that Mo Li destroyed the god realm 60k years ago. Only possible person could be Xuan Yi from ALP and Ming Qi from TLI.

But Wu Huan is still alive and crazy as far as I remember and her daughter is taking care of her so it can't possibly be her. I didn't read the nover but I clearly remember that in MM Fan Yue said that Mo Li destroyed the divine realm 60k years ago. The only character that destroyed the divine realm in both ALP and TLI is Xuan Yi/Ming Qi. Therefore my conclusion.

He is not in the God realm, I think I already explained belowthat he was sent to the mortal word for tribulations as a reward for helping Yuan Qi to survive. Sorry if you didn't understand me, if I can somehow explain it, please let me know

Mo Li is actually the original God that destroyed the divine realm aka Xuan Yi or Ming Qi devil god in TLI that was sent to human word to go trough tribulations, that was his reward after he helped Yuan Qi to survive

If you remember the ending of TLI, Xiu Yan once he got his full essence from his twin Ao Ge sent the devil God in the abyss to go true mortal tribulations, that was Xuan Yi or renamed to Ming Qi I think
