I see, thanks! From the trailer, maybe they'll accusés CSS father of treason, deserting with soldiers. It will explain why the whole family will be sent to jail.
The episodes were very interesting and raised the tension a notch. We are finally approaching the revenge and it shows. I really liked seeing ShaoShang leading her investigation and count by taking small steps (her dress seems to really hold her back from walking properly haha). But most importantly, these episodes highlighted that the Emperor tends to be lenient with families who have helped him, that Consort Yue is more aware than her husband of the hatred that gnaws at LBY's heart, and, finally, that LBY seems to have made a terrible decision in regard to his revenge. Like Consort Yue, I was chilled when he said that unlike her brother's crimes, some people's crimes cannot be amended. Consort Yue was amazing in this episode. I appreciated that, just by her look or the tone of her voice, we could identify her intentions and thoughts. She loves her brother but despises his actions and can't/will not protect him for his crimes. She doesn't want him dead but doesn't want LBY either, out of rage, to go mad at not being able to avenge his family. Therefore, even if it costs her, she is ready to let her brother die to allow LBY to get revenge and finally let go of the hatred that binds his heart. And hats off to the actress for succeeding in showing us this dilemma and this fear both of LBY and for LBY. When she calls General Huo "brother Huo" we also feel how much he meant to her to the point that for his memory, she seeks justice even at the sake of her own family.
The end of LBY's conversation with Consort Yue got me thinking ... his tone was so cold and soft that if I hadn't…
I have a question: If he knows his "father" is his real father's murderer, why is he still investigating as if he doesn't know who was behind his family's downfall?
So I was thinking and if you guys know then please do answer me, you all know LBY is the son of General Huo and…
The Emperor doesn't know this, otherwise he wouldn't force LBY to go to his "father" from time to time to be filial. This is LBY's secret. And yes, he treats his aunt as his mother because he had to. To survive and get revenge, he had to pretend to be his cousin. He is even forced to call his real father "uncle". Also, despite being his aunt, she protected him with her life while she was grieving for their family and her son. It's not a big deal to call her "mother".
in view of the trailers, the revenge will take place in episode 48 (so the last episode of next week). Therefore,…
The trailer for episode 46 suggests that revenge will not be long in coming and I can see next week ending on revenge, leaving us several days waiting for the next episodes.
in view of the trailers, the revenge will take place in episode 48 (so the last episode of next week). Therefore, there will only be 8 episodes left to describe the following of the revenge, the consequences, the 5-year jump in time, the return and the reconciliation. I don't know if it's enough or not... I want to see LBY struggling to win back CSS, I want to see him realize his mistake and sincerely improve. And I want to see CSS genuilly accept him back.
Even before he got engaged with SS, he had had this big revenge plan in mind. Based on how he handles things,…
I'm also waiting to see how the drama will handle this. I sincerely hope his hypocrisy in their argument from the beginning and the seriousness of his actions will not be overlooked. CSS isn't the only one who needs to improve and put effort into their relationship. Right now it's all about her doing efforts and not him so hopefully whatever he does will highlight the inequality in their relationship and allow LBY to improve as well.
These two episodes were both satisfying and frustrating at the same time. I loved watching the 5th Princess and her friends suffer the consequences of their actions. I liked seeing CSS and LBY argue because they still have different points of view and it's interesting to see. But I was frustrated by two things: 1) I wish LBY's revenge was more menacing. I felt the sinister aura of this revenge more in the trailer than in the drama and it's a shame. 2) I find it horrible that the emperor and LBY used such a method to settle the conflict with CSS. It is cruel and, above all, unfair. CSS was wrong not to say what she suffered to LBY but to put all the blame on her when LBY also has his flawss (and hides many more serious things from her) is definitely wrong. I hope the drama, with what happens next, will dwell on the fact CSS is still shown to be at fault according to LBY while he has his faults and some work to do. She is not the only one to have to make efforts in their couple and her fears, her resentments, and her hesitations are much more understandable than those of LBY.
I'm so excited about tomorrow morning. I can't wait to see LBY deal with those girls. I hope he says something…
The same. I really want the episode to take its time to show the revenge of LBY and CSS. I also want the 5th princess to be punished severely. She is more dangerous and vicious than the 3rd princess and this one was beaten and then punished. I expect at least the same.
Just read an article about LLTG where the scene with the accupuncture point is explained...is called ming men…
Interesting, thanks for the article. So by teaching her this point and touching it, LBY wanted to both relax her (since she was upset) and, at the same time, put her in the same mindset as him. What a cunning one hehe
I just finished my mv stories on part 1, if anyone is interested 🙂 The first video is from CSS's point of view and chronicles the beginnings of their relationship (episode 1 to 14): https://youtu.be/oZe4BYUvSIs The second video is from LBY's point of view and chronicles the heartbreaking part of their relationship (episode 15 to 27): https://youtu.be/-rPBqEMhqAI You can activate the subtitles in English or French to know the lyrics of the songs (both from the OST of the drama).

Are you sure she ratted out 5th princess? I thought she just said she was homesick and asked him to play the zither…
It was the third princess who was burned not 5th princess, isn't it?
I think CSS is too much traumatized to think to revenge at that time but the slander will make her come to her sense and she'll definitely destroy 5th princess.
I'm so in love with Consort Yue and at same time scared the writers could turn her into a evil character later…
I think that will not be the case. If there was a possibility of her going evil, it would have been implied in the scene with her brother (when the 3rd princess was beatten). Instead, she was clearly shown to have empathy for others even her rivals (Empress and LBY's mother) and their clan, not having excessive ambition, hating those who break the law. It is seen she sincerely loves LBY as a descendant of the Huo clan, she sincerely loves her husband and wants to support him, she longs for a quiet life and so on. Otherwise, she would not have been so firm in the face of her brother behind closed doors.
Hot/Unpopular take: While the whole scene where Lady Ruyang got knocked down was extremely satisfying, the fact…
It's a very young dynasty with a fairly natural emperor. LBY is officially the Emperor's adopted son, raised by the Empress. He is also the last surviving member of the empire's benefactor clan. It is completely understandable they are present at the engagement as elders and support.
Yes, it's good to see them move forward in their mutual understanding instead of getting bogged down in endless arguments and misunderstandings.
Of course CSS's actions are dangerous, with potentially dramatic consequences, and she needs to mature. However,…
I understand what you're saying and you made some valid points. However, I don't think it would have had an impact on Uncle Wan, for example. He only got a piece of the seal. Even if it is later discovered to be false, the one in the hands of the Crown Prince is also false. So the implication won't fall on Uncle Wan. On the other hand, indeed, it can delay the troops and cause chaos in the army which CSS absolutely did not consider because she always thinks on the small scale, knows nothing about state affairs (and does not care neither).
What she did is very serious but I find that many people are quick to blame it all on her. She is 15 years old, never received an education, knows nothing about politics and the royal court. LBY dragged her into this mss, knows the crown princess is not innocent and CSS will do something to help. Instead of explaining to her why he doesn't want to get involved, why he wanted the crown princess to come forward, why CSS shouldn't do anything and sincerely try to stop her from committing treason, he doesn't explain anything to her, leaves her between the clutches of an intriguer and commit this enormous error which he repairs by sacrificing his family heritage. CSS needs to change but LBY also needs to learn how to teach her the dangers and prevent her from making this kind of mistake.
