I'm kind of hoping the two of them are separated soon. Yes, they have some very sweet scenes together but BFY…
I agree.
Hopefully being on her own will allow BFY to be a little more awake to what's going on. She's so passive and pays absolutely no attention to what's going on around her (like when she doesn't see/or doesn't want to see her fiancé's discomfort). She is not careful, doesn't have the intelligence to know how to manage to survive and doesn't know how to analyze a situation or read people's thoughts.
MX seems selfish but BFY is the one who is self-centered without even realizing it. By her attitude (her prejudices, her obtuse morality which she imposes on her relative, her whining which forces others to feel guilty, her naivety and passivity which makes BFY an easy prey), she unconsciously pushes her cousin to constantly protect her.

Title Gone with the Rain Spoiler
As much as MX is a very flawed character, BFY is the one who really infuriates me. In 21 episodes, her character has not evolved and I find her FAR from being perfect. She is obtuse, judgmental, self-righteous, naive in the extreme, unable to learn from her mistakes, and whiny.

She keeps accusing her young cousin of the worst, of moralizing her, of blaming her for nothing when she should know her.
She keeps being fooled and never does anything to help. Like when she gets all their money stolen. Or when she agrees to confess the dean's crime because she fears for her cousin live without realizing that reporting the dean would save MX. Damn girl, why believe a crazy psychopath while you can let her be arrested and can told other people to go save MX?
She constantly needs her young cousin to find solutions to help them. Remember that MX is uneducated, without a family and has had to fend for herself since childhood, But it's she who must assume to save BFY constantly. And how does BFY thank her? By never realizing when her cousin is hurting, when she's heartbroken, when she's working hard to help them, or when she's being hurt by BFY's hurtful (and false) accusation (such as accusing her of stealing, taking advantage of people, or having feelings for a Wu family member).
She is unable to realize MX doesn't feel anything for WJ and berates her. She is unable to realize her fiancé doesn't love her. This girl is oblivious to everything. It's so frustrating!

People say MX should have told her the truth about her lover but do they realize MX's position? She is the poor, mistreated relative. Even BFY sees MX that way at times. Unfortunately, they are not equal, MX has the impression of being indebted for the love her cousin has for her and of constantly having to help her, protect her, save her, even if it means sacrificing herself for it.
I'm not saying BFY doesn't like MX just as much, simply that she doesn't realize the uneven dynamics in their relationship and her attitude doesn't do anything to help change that.
MX always feels like she owes her cousin something, even if it means hiding things from her to save her because she knows BFY is the type to be stubborn.
MX has her flaws but BFY is the eldest & is educated. She should be more aware of her cousin's struggles, be more aware of her surroundings, and learn from her mistakes instead of repeating them.

Review Empress Ki
You have the right not to like this drama. But insulting the female character of slut and cunt is revolting, demeaning, unfair and wrong.
First of all, it is not right to insult anyone (even a character) like that. It also shows you haven't understood the character and have a negative view of women.
She spent a night with the King of Goryeo after accepting his marriage proposal. They were engaged and technically she had become his concubine/women. Moreover, it was not she who decided it, it was the king who came to her room in the middle of the night abd made the first move. She just didn't push her ruler and fiancé away.
Then, after suffering an agonizing ordeal, nearly dying, losing her baby, and being broken, she learns that the man she loves has married another (from her enemies' family) right after learning of her supposed death. Unable to return to him, she chooses revenge and becomes the emperor's concubine. But it will take months to consummate her marriage. And she will only do so once she has clearly understood and accepted both her feelings for her husband but her new life as an imperial concubine.
She is anything but a slut and a cunt.

Title Our Blooming Youth Spoiler
I understand what you say about the court lady, but why do you think that the chief eunuch is a) fishy, and b)…
For me, there are several things that lead to this:
- the camera focuses on him subtly several times when the CP has crucial conversations;
- he's too withdrawn and a bit self-effacing compared to what a CP's chief eunuch tends to be in a historical drama (which doubles my suspicion);
- he has looks and gazes that seem to indicate he is hiding something.

Title Our Blooming Youth Spoiler
Am I the only one to think, since the 1st episode, that the servants are the traitors who plot, we don't yet know why, against royalty? CP's chief eunuch is clearly fishy as well as a traitor and the court lady also seems in on the plot.
As for CP's so-called best friend and FL's fiancé, he gives me antagonist/psycho vibes. I don't know if he's just like that, if he will become one or if he already is, but I expect to find out things about him at any time.

I’ve been wondering. At the end when the FL shed a tear, I wonder if they were tears of relief , tears of shock,…
She is human and empathetic. Despite the horrors he put her through and the kind of man he was, he remains a human being who had some humanity inside of him and feelings for her. Seeing him die before her eyes doesn't leave her indifferent even if she wanted to be rid of him and hated him.
It was tears of empathy and for the connection that has been created, in spite of herself, over all this time spent together.

Title The Confidence Spoiler
I have a question for those who watched the drama:
What did FL received in the middle of episode 4? She wake up, after the dinner with FSX, take a shower then she got a message and seemed to scroll pictures while being upset. What was it?
I'm right at that moment and I'm a bit scare of what he do when she passed out.

Btw, can people tell me if FL will be raped in this story? If so, what episode so that I can be prepared.
Thanks !

Title Unexpected Falling Spoiler
I'm pretty disappointed with the script choices.
FL has been through a lot that has shattered her trust in her late husband. She took a long time but ended up letting another man into her life, trusting him, giving him free access to her apartment. And in fact the man is lying to her, has been paid to be close to her, is not her classmate and, above all, has done everything to screw up her feelings for her husband (even going so far as to offer her a fake watch on behalf of her husband).
But instead of having a big argument, showing that the betrayal is serious and it will take the ML's time and effort to make amends, the argument is resolved in 5min. He is violent, sexually assaults her, she hits him then offers him to become partners in crime and it's over. Of course she puts a little more distance between them but that's it. No major crisis of confidence, no reflection on what the ML did wrong, nothing. I find this extremely annoying because not only does it make no sense given the story told (a woman who discovers she was living in a cage, too submissive and trusting towards her unfaithful husband who was doing illegal practices) but it's also an attempt to diminish the responsibility of the ML and to continue to treat him as the hero. He sexually assaults her twice, damn it!

The scene where FL confronts ML is creepy as f***. The guy is a stranger, paid to get close to her, manipulate her and spy on her. Except the man has become obsessed with her. He discovers tat she knows and the mask fall. He grabs her violently, kisses her by force, she hits him and goes to lock herself in her room until he knocks on the door. It's worthy of a horror movie, not a romance. And the gravity of the situation and the horror the FL feels should have been explored. The ML should have questioned himself.

I'm happy to get to the end of the drama because I'm sincerely disappointed with the direction the drama is taking (between the FL who doesn't learn from her mistakes and still trust people and herself when she shouldn't & the ML who is obsessed with her and unable to be less controling and pushy).

Dilraba's born in 1992 whole Wu Lei' in 1999. She's 7 years older.
Calm down. I was not rude so no need to attack me.
First, I thought your comment was about Dilreba age as if she was younger than Wu Lei, it's why I corrected you about her year of birth.
Second, I LOVE Dilreba and I have absolutely no issue with her age. My review, on the contrary, said she was convincing as a young girl even if she's not a teenage girl and that Wu Lei seemed to be older in a lot of scenes, which was great because we believed in him being older and more experienced than her. I'm glad they chose her to play this character and glad it worked so well on screen.
My review only acclaims Dilreba so a little more discernment in the future please, it's obvious I don't dislike her.

The next time, please, be more careful when you comment. I assume you may have saw people being mean about old young romance but you don't have to come at everyone throat without a clear message stating mean things.
Thanks.

Apparently CSS will get sick and almost die after LBY's revenge. Will he know about this or will he never know?
I thought that at first but, apparently, it will be CSS's twin who'll tell him before his exile then her father at LBY's return. I prefer that. It's more impactful if it comes from her family.

Spoil me please, I like spoilers, and I'll probably try to watch this anyway. So what's the deal with "emperor's…
The term adoptive is used because LBY was taken in and brought up in the palace until he came of age. He is considered the Emperor's 11th child ((that's why everyone calls him "Eleventh Young Master") and a member of the Imperial family. The Emperor and Empress act as his elders and/or parents in certain things and he has several privileges. But, he is not legally adopted. He does not bear their name, does not have the title of prince or the right to an imperial inheritance. He has more the role of a ward, in the eyes of the law even if, in practice, he is an adopted son.
I hope that helps you.
