Just because you love someone and try to protect him doesn't guarantee that person loves you back.Everything XL…
"Jing refused to kiss her on the beach bc he saw XL in her eyes when she kissed him." Is it said in the novel? I don't remember seeing this sentence in the drama and I think it's a shame because it's important if TSJ doesn't kiss her because of XL.
XY looking at XL as he leaves the brothel and slowly disappears is also a perfect tragic ending. Him saying he'll…
Beautifully said! When I saw the dance scene play out alongside XL's fight, I couldn't help but think back to XY's last words to him: "If only you could just be FBY." The path XL has chosen is dark, harsh, bloody and deadly. He bids her farewell to go fight her family's army, being their enemy. He leaves her for darkness and violence as his loyalty commands him to fight and die for Chenrong. Their paths are opposite. XY can accept him as a friend but because of his choice of life, of who he is, she never allows herself to fall in love with him, even though deep down, she has feelings for him. Their story, their friendship, their love, are tragic. This scene also seems to indicate the storm is coming. While the 4 youngsters are having fun and enjoying life, dark forces are at work, war is raging, blood is being shed and, sooner or later, it will end up splashing on them.
okay I have to ask this. Are Xiao Yao's mom and Cang Xuan's dad siblings? Are they really first cousins?
Yeah, they are. But because of the censorship, th crew dubbed some dialogue to change their connection and try to have XY's mother be the adoptive daughter (but blood related) of the Queen of Xiyan and not her biological daughter. But since the drama was written and filmed with the thought they were really first cousins, I prefer stick to this version. Since they didn't even change some dialogue so sometimes they're real cousins, sometimes not, according to the scenes.
1. Why XL (silver hair vampire) showed up as FFB (black hair)? I mean XL and FFB are the same person or totally…
I think she is aware of it, but not fully. She knows she has feelings and is afraid that if she kisses XL, he will end up haunting her dreams and she will fall in love with him. This fear she has of falling for him exists precisely because she has feelings for him but he is not made for her and she has a negative view of love since her parents divorced and her grandfather was not the best husband for her grandmother. Therefore, she doesn't seek love and even less with someone who unsettles her and can make her head spin like XL does. YSQ is the safest choice because XY has the upper hand in their relationship (since she's like a big sister/protector), he's sweet, calm and kind. Thus, she has a sense of security. Even though she is not madly in love with him, she is attracted to him and likes him, which for her is enough. While for XL, her emotions are more violent (I think she's much more attracted to him than to YSQ), he has the upper hand over her, is unpredictable, restless and mean. He has the ability to hurt her emotionally and physically and she fears she has no control in their relationship but also of her feelings when faced to him. Reason why she denies her feelings and prefers YSQ. I'm so sorry you saw a spoiler. People aren't careful enough around here and some even write spoilers for people who just want to talk about the drama. But I hope you'll enjoy the drama regardless.
In episode 6, at the 17th minute, the subtitles say XL asks XY when can he bite her. Except that he literally just did it, she even almost flinched since he sucked too much of her blood. I imagine it's a translation problem. Can anyone tell me what is implied here please?
Wait! XY has been waiting for TJ for 70 years? If he was still YSQ I will understand because he had no means of…
If you talk about what she said in episode 22, she was talking about waiting for her family for 70 years when she was a child. And since then, she promised herself she'll never wait so long again. The 15 years promise from YSQ is still not fulfill. It's been less than a few years since that promise.

XY doesn't know this bug and its specificities. She just thought she could use it to get revenge on XL. In reality, they were amorous bug that bind in joy and suffering, in life and death, two people who love each other. She succeeded in making the bugs develop because she was thinking of XL while doing so. She thought she was doing it out of revenge but deep down she loves him, that's why the bugs came of age. Eventually, she used them on CX, which might have worked because there's love between them, but since it's sibling love and not romantic, the 2 bugs couldn't fit in deeply and permanently in their hosts. This is also why the bug from CX can be extracted (which is impossible otherwise). When the bug is transferred into XL's body, the 2 bugs can become completely one with the 2 hosts because: - they were raised for that couple (since XY was thinking of XL when raising them); - XY and XL love each other.
The reason I'm confused is, is the grandmother her real grandmother because the grandfather said XY looks like…
For me, the grandmother and the mother are from the same family but not close relatives. Therefore, the master/disciple bond is more important and that is why the mother called the grandmother "master". But she is her adopted daughter and probably a distant niece, which is why she has the title of Princess and her daughter has the right to call the king and queen "grandfather" and "grandmother".
She's 14 in the first episode (8th grade)Then in episode 2, she's 16 to 17 years (11th grade)While the ML is 19…
In the book, FL is 7 years younger than ML. Which means she was 11 when she met him. I think they originally planned to follow the book but once the drama was filmed they must have been scared about such a huge gasp and dubbed some dialogue to make her 14 years old. Because it's not just her that's short, but her whole class looks 11 years old.
I'm on ep2 now. How old is she supposed to be in the beginning? The child actress looks about 11 or 12? and how…
She's 14 in the first episode (8th grade) Then in episode 2, she's 16 to 17 years (11th grade) While the ML is 19 years at first (1rst or 2nd year in college) Then he's 22 years (last year in college)
I really dislike the SZ’s female friend from the first few episodes. Why was she trying to force her onto that…
It's exactly that. The girl had a crush on the guy and felt important/helpful to him through her friendship with FL. It was completely toxic and hypocritical. She wasn't hanging out with FL out of friendship but out of interest and prioritizing the boy's needs over FL's feelings and comfort. Reason why she rejects SZ so easily afterwards and then uses her. She's the kind of weak, cowardly, opportunistic person and not a friend.
There are only 6 episodes left and I know in advance it will be rushed, unfortunately. Even if I enjoyed the storylines and the acting, I can't help but find some scenes unecessary, long or repetitive because the characters stagnate.
CWD always behaves like a boor who likes to argue with his wife, talk to her roughly and sexually assault her almost each episode since before their wedding. He never learned from his mistakes or sought to understand MX's point of view. He thinks she loves another and so that justifies him not making any behavioral effort with her. It bothers me a lot. Admittedly, he is tolerant (not having punished her severely for certain mistakes) and protects her, but he is also harsh and authoritarian with her, which doesn't help MX to feel free in this marriage. I don't see how in 6 episodes the writers are going to convince me this couple can work when I see a man unable to understand his 17-year-old prisoner wife must have had trouble not feeling trapped. A man who delights in self-pity and inferiority complex.
As for MX, she remains selfish, childish and provocative. I would have liked to see her think of a way to survive, to fend for herself. Instead, for several episodes, she has had the same arguments with her husband and is just there waiting (either to escape or to see what life has in store for her). It's frustrating because it's not very interesting.
FX has, as always, some interesting moments of maturity and integrity. But she remains throughout the drama a victim, unable to fend for herself, to take a step back from a situation and to not be obtuse.
And let's not talk about WJG who, 6 episodes from the end, is still being manipulated by the real traitors, is still undecided in his personal choices and torn between duty and feelings. It's boring to see no real character development and to see them get bogged down in a could-be-great-but-is-now-dragging storyline.
I really liked the last episodes even if the attitude of CWD bothered me.
He tries to forcefully kiss MX several times while he is about to marry her cousin and thinks MX is still too young (since he later asks her if she is old enough to get married, which proves he sees she's very young). Even if it wasn't his will, he was going to marry BFY and destroy her reputation. Then he tries to consummate his marriage with MX when she threatened to kill herself 5 minutes earlier (and still has blood in her neck) and was crying during the ceremony looking dead inside. I really don't think that's the right attitude. Especially since the drama is trying to make it comical and I find that a shame because the moment is serious. I find that a bit of a shame because I would have liked it to be done differently (especially on the wedding night).
