The day Shin finally lets his walls down and forgives Saint will be the day my heart melts completely. I can’t wait to see him show his love openly, to hear them talk like they used to, share those genuine laughs and have those soft, sweet moments together again. It’s going to be so beautiful, I’m so impatient for it.

I honestly can’t wait to see Shin openly protective of Saint. I love these subtle moments of him looking out for him but I’m really hoping for that big, moment where he steps up without holding back.

Hi! Just wanted to say, it’s honestly so refreshing to see people like you who can see right through the nonsense they push around here. They have reported me and a bunch of others too, it’s honestly just pathetic. Lex’s reviews are topnotch and it’s wild to see they didn’t just report Lex once but multiple times. Total joke lmao.

You can tell right away how protective Saint is over Shin, he goes full-on intense whenever anyone tries to hurt him. But what really gets me is how defensive Shin is when it comes to Saint. Normally, he would let idiots like Ken throw punches his way without a second thought because he knows he can handle it and fight back if needed but in episode 4 when Jeng goes after Saint, it’s different. Shin actually steps in and takes the hit for him because Jeng is a real threat, a fighter who could actually hurt Saint. Seeing Shin’s protective instinct kick in only when there is real danger makes my heart melt.

There are plenty of reasons someone might hesitate to take on a BL role. For one, the responsibility is intense, BL actors often face packed schedules with constant fan meetings, promotions, and events which can lead to burnout. Nani and Sky have been openly supportive of the LGBTQ+ community so if they’re not fully on board with a BL role, it’s likely
because they have their own valid reasons.

You will see later under what circumstances it happened but yes I agree with you, I really admire his resilience. Despite everything he’s been through, he never gives up on Shin and constantly goes back to remind him how much he cares.

It’s honestly kinda amazing and a little insane how Saint just won’t give up on Shin, no matter what he goes through. This guy could be stomped on, dragged through the mud, and basically thrown to the wolves and he would still be like “Is Shin okay, tho?” It’s honestly giving devotion in the biggest way. Thinking about how much he must care to go through all of that, just for the chance to be around Shin has me feeling so soft. Saint is willing to take every hit, every harsh word, just to stay close to him. If that’s not love (or the ultimate level of simp) I don’t know what is lmao.

I guess since the original only hinted at romance rather than being explicitly gay, they wanted to keep that same approach here and as for Nani and Sky, I’m not sure how they feel about taking on a full BL role since it requires a big commitment with all the extra activities, fan meetings, and promotions, which can be exhausting. So maybe they were more comfortable with keeping it as a bromance as well, regardless I can totally understand the frustration lmao I am literally screaming "KISS" at the screen every damn time.

The original was meant to be a queer series but they decided to shift it to focus on friendship instead. Still, even in the original version, you can tell it was written with a romance in mind and this adaptation does a very good job at keeping it authentic.

Besides that..we all know GMMTV produces very few non-BL series because they simply don’t perform as well, the fanbase is largely built around BL content. I mean if this show didn’t have hints of romance or chemistry between the main leads, it wouldn’t have the same viewership. GMMTV knows their audience and they understand that BL is what sells best for them and they’re aware that fans will invest in any storyline where there’s chemistry and a good plot. Even if some people see this show as purely platonic, it’s edited in a way that gives it a romantic vibe.

I think it really comes down to whether the actors feel comfortable and prepared for the demands of BL roles because they require a unique level of commitment. They would have a packed schedule with promotion events, sponsorship deals, fan meetings and more, it’s a lot more work compared to non-BL actors at GMMTV. It’s a big commitment, and they have to be in the right mindset to handle everything that comes with it but I would love to see it happen, their chemistry is one of the best I have seen in gmmtv, they would be very succesful and I know no director will be opossed to take them lmao, they will probably be fighting over them. But if they are not intrested in BL, just give us more bromances. We will take it.

It’s honestly hilarious how shipping two characters ( a guy and a girl) is never a big deal but as soon as it’s two guys or two girls, people start calling it "perverted." After all they are just characters and if the chemistry is there, it’s only natural for fans to ship them! This double standard only seems to come up when it’s a queer pairing while no one blinks an eye if you’re shipping a straight couple. Plus, Sky himself said he’s totally fine with fans shipping them when he was asked about it, so I think people should just enjoy it without the extra judgment

This adaptation really respects the spirit of the original source and leaves it totally open to interpretation. I think you can choose how you want to see it, whether as an intense friendship or something more romantic and honestly, I think that’s what makes it so good. The actors have this insane chemistry so it’s no surprise that fans want to ship them and it’s even better knowing that skynani are cool with it! When asked about people shipping them, Sky literally said they’re fine with it which just makes me love them together even more. Their story is beautifully reimagined here and somehow still stays true to the original Korean version. It’s amazing to see that they preserved it.
