Finally finished part 1 and 2 in just 2 days and it's a solid xianxia show with good CGI and acting. However, don't really like how the FL is held captive by ML for a good number of episodes although it's for her to recover safely too. He kinda kidnapped her when she so desperately want to leave to roam around outside lol. I can feel the FL's claustrophobia yknow during covid lockdown some time ago.

interestingly the scriptwriters are a married couple who co-wrote Empress Ki !! i hope this is good.

Forgot all about shit stirrer Kwon Min Woo when the ultimate Kdrama villain mom came into the picture oh Tae Su Mi.... what a wonderful mother you are !

After Tae Su Mi became successful as the CEO of her own company she could have gotten back with WYW father or try to get in touch with her daughter but what she did instead was to marry another rich man and had a son with him. So we can conclude she doesn't love WYW father anymore and want nothing to do with her daughter i guess and just focused on becoming the top tier lawyer she is. so why even get together with WYW father in the first place... usually love like this (rich + poor) will be strong but i guess this is not the case in this drama.

Omg it's so funny how WYW offered her jacket to the judge when he tripped HAHAHA

That sour grape Min Woo, what a jealous little prick he is. i hope he gets karma for whatever he is plotting >:(

Since it's the same director as Dr Romantic 2, i can see the similar way in which he film the heart fluttering scenes... the bokeh effect with lotsa lighting and close up of their faces. and the brown/autumn tones in general. uWu

yup... no hate to the FL, i feel for her backstory and things she has been through but imho the FL constantly reminds herself and Yinzhang they are not in the same class as those who sell their bodies and kinda look down on them as if those unfortunate ones had a choice... maybe they are forced into it right. idk man the way they emphasize and drove the point home over several episodes just feels pretentious to me. Again, i've got no hate to FL, this just shows she's human.

I was missing this drama and i came back to this comment section. Low and behold, Nam Joo Hyuk was just accused of bullying! We shall wait and see if that is true... here we go again... ><

yea... considering what he did to them in the past i find it hard to like him... and hard to believe that sanniang eventually will be with him

haha yes! not much have been said of Pan'er's family except that her father committed some "crimes" which according to cdrama rules probably he was framed. maybe her father is not even her father... she was adopted, who knows xD

finally caught up to ep 22!!

I really liked the pace of ep 1-10, it is action packed and every moment was so intense. It was fun watching the ML and FL go from enemies to friends to best friends to crushing on each other. The chemistry was sizzling 🥵!!

ep 11-22 was more slower paced, it became like a slice of life drama mainly focusing on Pan'er tea shop business and Gu's commander duties.

i wonder what happens from ep 23-40. My bet would be on Ou coming back to the city with vengeance and bothering Pan'er as the main villain, some palace politics implicating Gu, Pan'er is a long lost princess (idk seen this troupe many many times). YZ trusting that Shen guy ( he seems very dodgy and sly with the vibes he is giving off) and had to be saved again.. so story arc for YZ i guess

Just started watching this and the cinematography is *CHEF KISS*. i like the way they filmed this and the colour scheme... it's like a movie.
