Excited for the last 2 episodes and feeling bitter sweet that the journey of 2521 has come to an end! No matter what's the ending, this is a drama to remember for a long time...
1. YR is based in Russia, being the coach for the national team there. (that's why she is not seen in HD future and her daughter MC doesn't know any of HD friends.
2. SW goes to SNU and possibly study/work abroad after that, that's why MC doesn't know her as well. (Not in HD and MC lives in the future)
3. JW goes to Russia to be with YR, possibly securing a job there.
4. YJ is a famous anchor now, similar to HD mom's position (maybe even take over her position after HD's mom retires), lost in touch with HD in future as shown in 2009. They decided to set their boundaries as reporter and athlete. The story will be something like YJ and HD learnt a lot from each other, first love is not last love, nothing lasts forever (seems like this is brought up earlier), they will support each other in their hearts but their love is impossible at this moment due to their clashing jobs (reporter and his subject), HD doesn't want the same thing which happened to her mom and herself which caused the strained relationship to happen to YJ and herself. She wants to preserve this beautiful relationship at 2521. Her happiest moment in life. (possibly linked to the title meaning)
5. Mr Kim (HD's husband) might be HD fellow teammate in the fencing team, they got close after HD broke up with YJ and had MC. He came back from abroad, possibly he have a job as fencing coach and has to travel around.
from YJ and HD exchange on TV, it seems like they haven't kept in touch with each other and support each other from afar... i'm not prepared for their relationship to go from friends to lovers to strangers :(
the foreshadowing of reporters getting too close to their subjects (fencing coach and HD's mom strained relationship) will definitely be a plot point in the remaining few episodes... causing the next climax of the show... now it's been relatively peaceful after HD won 1st. We could finally have some answers about the future and why YJ is not in HD and MC life... (MC did not recognise YJ by name or by his photos in the album).
Ok the reason to quit school was hmmmmmm not very realistic i would assume she does continue her studies but in another school right she can't possibly quit forever :O
I love ep 11!! the focus is on HD and her mother this time and its time to have some character development for her mother and some insights as to why she does the things that she does...!
i feel uncomfortable with the ML and FL biggg age gap. especially at episode 3 when he attends her middle/high school graduation she looks like she's 10 while he looks like he's 20. of course all is good when she grows up. the prison story is great though... but the romance part is quite effy. she's just a kid :0
Yeah it's good and funny ,except the 1st ep, specially the present time, it can be boring for some but the rest…
i'm on ep 8 so far and i kinda got into it! but sometimes i feel that the lines and situations they are in are a bit childish... the FL acting is really good so it's worth it to continue for that.
There should be the same "age gap" controversy for Goblin then. The FL was also a minor high school girl 19 years old in love with the Goblin 900 years old so that's even worse than 2521 with a four year age gap. TBH i found that much more uncomfortable despite all the "destiny" plot to justify that. It's romance between an Ahjusshi looking Goblin with a high school girl basically.
Okay guys, hear me out yh, this is too crazy of an idea, and I'm sure there are many loop holes in it BUT I still…
There's a loophole, that one scene when HD and MinChae were in the backyard, HD was telling MC all about what her father told HD about fencing, it's not a straight upwards line but like a staircase (when HD experienced a slump in fencing) so it does seem like adult HD is really HD??
