Open happy ending! 1. ML said out loud he likes her in ep 15, but from the moment FL meets ML, they are slowly falling in love with each other. Sweet moments from ep 1-15! 2. No love triangle, only the first few episodes FL and the 2ML broke up before their wedding after 'dating' 8 years (probably one sided from FL) and she got over it pretty fast. I would say ep 1-2 and she was done moping over him. 3. No villain... the 2FL is just a gd friend of ML being his childhood neighbour. but they are just friends and nothing beyond. 2ML keeps chasing after FL but FL does not like him anymore.

I was scanning weibo and found some interpretations of the ending which made sense to me.....
At the last scene, a man (face wasn't shown) held out an umbrella for the FL and that scene looked very similar to the rain scene when FL first travelled back as the ML did the same thing to her. It was filmed in the same way too. So we can infer he is the ML.
The theory is... he wasn't dead in the present timeline! So he got pushed down from the lighthouse by the gangster, then no one knows where he went. Gao Ge told the FL his parents suddenly moved away after that incident and was never heard of again. Notice how the characters always refer to ML disappearance as an 'accident' or 'incident' but never 'death'. So the theory is that the whole family moved to overseas to get medical treatment for the ML. The ML was in a coma all the while! Then when the FL keeps time travelling back to the past, she was actually entering into his conscience to fulfil all his regrets of not confessing to the FL that he loved her ever since they met at the zoo when they were little and all the way till high school!
After the last time travel when she finally prevented his death at the lighthouse by firmly telling him to stay away and hiding her feelings, they met at the airport when he was leaving and he said 'i like you' which transported her back to the present timeline again and that WOKE HIM UP from the coma. So after some time he flew back to China to reunite with her, with all the memories of their time spent together only they will know.
It's a beautiful ending and I will imagine this theory to be true! HAPPY ENDING!
the one thing strange about this premise is the FL being with her ex for 8 years only for the ex to suddenly tell her he does not love her 8 freakinnn years later. that's a longgg time to realise your feelings dude. Makes me wonder how they dated over these years....
Chef actually fell in love with the ghost and not bong sun?? most if not all the sweet moments were with the ghost. he forced himself to accept bong sun in the end...
and Park bo young is also "bong soon" in strong woman do bong soon. Lol. In there the ML loves her a lot but she doesn't really show that she feels the same.

i watched it again, they were most likely looking at the police cars leaving the scene , but yea it could be anything else too, seeing that the mom was also looking in the same direction before she got in the car.
uh they did not explain what caused the time loop. but according to novel spoilers meng meng chose FL to be in the time loop to stop her parents from bombing the bus because FL reminded her of herself.

wow Zhao Jin Mai (2002) and Bai Jing Ting (1993) are 9 years apart! I think in the show they put the FL age as 1998 seen on one of the forms at the police station. Tbh that is believable as well!

The policeman Mr zhang died!! so the ML sent him a text asking him to deploy his men to stop the bus and they passed him the bomb but there was not enough time to throw it into the lake so it ended up exploding in front of the policeman. but i feel like this is NOT THE END of it and there will be more time loops in ep 14 and 15 :((( Also just as i suspected the bus driver is in on it as well!!! and they try to justify it by saying their daughter died in relation to something happening to her on bus 45 5 years ago and police did not do their job to investigate why but you can't just drag the whole bus to die with you selfish people SMH....
