ML here at the beginning, is a 200 year old guy. The universe that this drama is in, and in the novel on which this is based, people that age are literally children!!
His parents' love story took place in a span of 130,000 years in the novel and 70,000 years in the drama ALP. This drama also have same universe rules.
Considering the age of the ML, he is a child. Even after 1000 year leap that takes place here, he is still kind of a teenager yet he did all he could.
And it pains me how people don't know about Yuanqi/Gujin's birth and early childhood...That guy has suffered more than what FL here suffered throughout the drama😮💨🫠. Give him a break.

That whole episode always makes me cry. Her dialogue before HC finally gives up and lets SG's being in and stabs BJ, that dialogue is enough to make me cry no matter when. And i clearly remember those lines of HC. I always go back to eps 40-43 when i think of this drama. Those few episodes have everything to shake you up. Friendship, love, loyalty, heartbreak, sacrifice... what not!
Can anyone spoil the ending for me? Do they never get back together, even at the very end?I'm on episode 20, and…
And this drama is based on a novel that is part of a triology, the other two being TheLastImmortal and MoonlightMystique. Though MM had barely anything intact from the novel, TLI had things going on much like the novel it is based on.
Telling you this because, any loose ends that may make you sad are tied later in the triology. If you only watch this drama, you'll miss out on those 1-2 things. That's all. Good day.

I do agree with you. But also hold the opinion that when it comes to FLs, it's 50-50.
No hate to any actresses, MengZiyi has no range of expressions, JuJingyi also comes off similar to MZY. TangYan was good (haven't watched any of her dramas other than AMBF). HuYiXuan and WuJinYan were great.
Story/Script wise- AMBF was good, and also LNF was okay. Other than these 2, no other of his recent works have made me interested in them. Most of his recent works, i pick up for him, and then drop due to story. I have dropped KMLM, LNF, Love at night, Now this princess gambit. In blossom... somehow pushed myself to complete it.
