The boss's scenes were the most entertaining parts of this episode imo. The rest was okay. Now we are officially entering the 2nd half of this adaptation. It still doesn't convince me but I'll continue watching~
I am LOVING the directing and editing style of this show and also all the pop culture included. This was such a good and refreshing first episode. Can't wait to see more of these characters and how their relationship(s) will evolve!
FR!!!!! That scene at the end of episode 4 had me ππππππ the entire time
When oda touched/grabbed arikino's hand when they walked past each other, i had to hold back from screaming. It makes me so sad to think that they were living happily together and then oda died for reasons that have not being made clear yet but somehow it is arikino's fault π. Once we get to know their whole backstory, I'll be crying buckets π

just finished watching episode 5 and WTH!!! they were 100% dating. there's no way they were just friends. now i need to know everything about how they met!!!!
The amount of people saying that he looks as Cha Eunwoo surprise because I don't think they look alike at all. Maybe it's because I've been a fan of both of them for a very long time so I'm used to their faces to the point there's no way I could mix them up.
This episode made no sense to me tbh. They made the daughter be against Heng for no reason. Like, she's okay with her dad being in love with someone but for unknown reasons it can't be Heng? That honestly bothered me. Also, why did Heng's friends + Mo help him try to get along with the daughter knowing that Heng doesn't plan on dating the boss? So weird, especially since Mo participated in this plan. It makes no sense π€¦
At least they finally made Heng reject the boss. I was worried they would drag it too much. But now we have more than half the season left so at some point the story will feel way too draggy and there are probably going to be so many unnecessary conflicts that weren't in the original story.
One thing I do appreciate from this adaptation though is that here it is more obvious that Heng is starting to realize he might like Mo. In the original, even until the end of the first season, I kept wondering whether Haruta actually liked Maki. It only becomes obvious Haruta is head over heels for Maki in the movie and season 2 (especially season 2).
Why can't Heng reject his boss or resign? He seems very uncomfortable when the boss is around. And why the boss…
My opinion: It's because Heng/Haruta is too nice and kind... and also very indecisive. He doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings so he is unable to muster up the courage to explicitly tell the boss he doesn't like him. Especially since they have known each other for so many years and have always had a good relationship (until, of course, the boss confessed to him).
