I think it just doesn't have a plot. Like, literally nothing happens in the second half, lol. And the brother character being in love with Yoon Eun Hye's character... it went nowhere. Like, that whole storyline didn't affect anything. I was so glad when I saw Sung Joon in Shut Up Flower Boy Band because the only thing i'd seen him in was Lie To Me and i'd really gotten a bad impression of him. So seeing him in Shut Up made me realise that he's someone actually worth watching.

Yeah, he's great, his acting has improved over the years, and he's so adorable. I hope he keeps doing good dramas, lol. He's funny in variety as well. Hey, you're watching Lie to Me? I personally thought it was terrible and boring, but it seems to get mixed reviews. Are you enjoying it?
Korea adapts manga, they just do it badly. Playful Kiss, TTBY, Boys over Flowers. I don't think I'd want them doing Ouran because I'd be afraid they'd ruin it.

Fair enough. Mok Dan was annoying because she kept switching between being able to take care of herself, and being the damsel in distress. The same thing happened with Arang in Arang & The Magistrate. She was a pretty good fighter in the beginning but then halfway through, i guess she forgot, lol. The guys become the protectors, even though the girls never needed protecting before they met them.

Aw, you dropped Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Bridal Mask. They're both really good, even if some bits drag, overall it's great. The problem with Sungkyunkwan Scandal is finding decent subs for it.

I tend to think that every show is too long, especially Taiwanese dramas. That's the main reason I haven't seen more, because every time i think i want to watch one, i realise that it's 30 episodes and i think "urgh!", lol. They always end up dragging. But I think that of Korean dramas as well. I think the Japanese have the right idea. Average of about 12 episodes, each of about 45 minutes length. Great idea.

I quite like Drama Go Go Go. I mean, it's nothing new, but it's enjoyable. All of the main characters have annoyed me at some point though, lol. It's only subbed up to ep 21 so i'm currently waiting for the rest of the eps to be subbed, which is frustrating. Actually, Miss Rose is on my list of shows to watch. What do you think of it?

I can only watch Taiwanese shows on Viki, Korean shows don't work in Australia, lol (except Full House 2, and i'm assuming that was only because it was a co-production). I was watching a Tw-drama over the weekend, & then i got to episode 21 and realised the rest of the eps (there are 28 overall) aren't subbed yet! I hadn't thought to check because the show's already finished, so i just assumed they were all subbed. So now i'm just twiddling my thumbs til they are, lol. Oh, i just finished the korean drama What's Up Fox. I'd definitely recommend it, it's very funny. And consistently so, too. So many of them start off really funny and then get too angsty, but this one is actually pretty good the whole way through. Although, it does seem to pick up and drop storylines and characters in an odd way. It doesn't affect the show, but it's just something you notice.

Hey, how's it going? I saw your review (from last year) on the What's Up Fox page and agreed with everything you said. I just finished watching it, and while i think it was flawed, it's still a hilarious show that i would recommend to people. So i gave it a 9 too. But... we never found out what was on Byung Gak's bum! Do you think the writer's just forgot about that running joke in the end?

The Cheongdamdong recaps weren't done by Girlfriday or Javabeans, and i always find that the other recappers aren't as funny. I tend to just read the last paragraph with their opinion in it, rather than the whole recap. I'm so glad JB/GF are doing Level 7 Civil Servant, the recaps are hilarious.

I'm actually considering just reading the Dramabeans recaps for Level 7 Civil Servant and not even bothering watching it, lol. Their recaps are better than the episode anyway. I'm surprised that none of their recappers are recapping Iris 2, actually.

I think that's the problem with streaming shows, you can't fast forward. I'm watching Level 7 Civil Servant at the moment, and i seriously want to shoot the main girl's parents whenever they come on screen, but i can't just skip forward because half the time, the video doesn't fully load first and if it does and i do skip forward, it will end up buggering up for some reason anyway, lol. Actually, i probably wouldn't recommend Level 7 Civil Servant. Like, i'm watching it because i started it so i'm gonna finish it, and it does still have some funny scenes, but overall, when it's finished, i won't be thinking "i'm gonna tell everyone to watch this".

Oh, Iris 2 isn't very good? That's a pity, simply because it's aways annoying when the sequel isn't as good as the original. With Level 7 Civil Servant, i have mixed feelings about it. There isn't much chemistry between the leads, and the spy stuff is so stupid. Like, they're all idiots, lol. How did they become spies? And we still don't know if Gil Ro is legally a spy, cuz they said he had to take an oath in front of the Governor or whoever, and he still hasn't. The leader guy doesn't even know Gil Ro is working with them. And we're losing the hilarious scenes. I don't know if it's just that there aren't as many, or if i just don't find them as funny as i should. Oh my god though, whenever Seo Won's parents come on screen, i want to shoot them. Those scenes are so boring and unnecessary! And we still have 8 episodes left. It would be better if it was only a 16 episode season.

I like how the two leads act together though, when they're happy. Like, when they went to the snow, and he kissed her on the forehead and then took a photo of them. That was him forgetting that he was conning her and just enjoying her company. I found it so funny when the Secretary found him in Song Hye Gyo's room, and they just stared at each other.
As for new shows, i'm not watching much at the moment. I have What's Up Fox on my hard drive but i never seem to have time to actually start it. Have you watched the last couple Running Man eps? I love it when they go overseas because the crowds are crazy. And they all love Kwang Soo, lol. I wish i got to see them film, it would be so awesome.

Yeah, Eunji's character is kind of all over the place. And in ep 6, she tells Song Hye Gyo that her 'brother' is just using her for money. And then later, just cries and asks why that was so bad. Like, are you listening to yourself? Oh, and the best friend, Kim Bum. He was really weird in ep 6 as well. He actually thought Jo In Sung was gonna kill Song Hye Gyo, and actually cried over it. But then 2 seconds later, he's totally fine and has apparently forgiven Jo In Sung for the irrational things he was angry at him over. I think it might be the editing that makes things seem odd though.

Oh, and in direct contradiction with what i said before, 2 things that frustrate me even though i've come to expect them? Time jumps where the characters meet after being separated and act as if they've had no contact when they could've been talking on the phone and emailing and skyping and any other numerous ways of keeping in touch. And also, scenes where characters get really awkward because they almost kissed, even though they've been dating for a while and they've both declared their love for each other several times and it would be perfectly normal and natural to kiss in every other world but Korean drama land.

And it happens so often too. Like, if you know you have to fill 16 episodes, either don't get your characters together too early, or have enough plot to freaking fill those 16 episodes. I don't understand how it happens. Well, i understand it. But whoever started the trend of writing episodes as they're being filmed was an idiot, lol
