I think it's open ending either Jibozai being the crown prince or not in drama. He said he would like to just being a warrior but it's in the future, not right now. Right now I assume he is still the crown prince, refer to Ershiqi tease Buxui (after seeing them kissing) Jibozai will face the most challenging in his life, that he has to roam accross six realms after the tournament, and can't meet Ming Yi for quite long, means there is duty he has to fullfill after that.
