I don't think this is Hao Ming Hou best acting too. There are many times he is not into his character. Maybe because he is sick during filming this. So I don't think this drama become his trademark acting.

Agree. The main thing that is engaging is of how everything surrounding male lead and female lead is finally getting exposed and how they will unfold it on engaging way. But it's turn out to be very anticlimatic. The writers are just not smart enough writing this kind of conflict and switch to situ Ling and his unreasonable obsession towards female lead.

This is my most anticipated Gongjun drama back in 2024, not blood river or the truth. Because the theme and the plot seems like my kind of show. I have been craved for A law drama in slice of life setting, not in thriller or crime drama type. And I'm not dissapointed so far.

They focus too much on jixing abyss it makes sense narrative wise who is gaining respect more since sfl is the princess. But that's the point. Why they focus too much event on jixing abyss meanwhile the origin of male lead and where the female lead side is in youguang mountain too is yet to be seen? That's why it's just feels jarring when ML switch side to youguang mountain pretty easily too at the end despite his background. .

My favourite acting of Hou Ming Hao yess. I agree! For some reason, he is in top form in this drama. His acting is just hits all the right note to me. He is just the reason Ji Bozai feels likes a person, rather than just a mere drama character. His character is also decently explored.

There is many scene he overacted in woh and tooo theater like acting. which I don't like, it's also he is abit trying too hard it makes him less immerse into character at times in acting soo yeah I like him better in legend of anle and flavour it's yours.

I don't think word of honor is his best. I love him best in Legend of anle and flavour it's yours.

Yeah, Many drama fall into mary sue / gary sue character and very little people complain about it. Many male centered drama also make the female lead look like asupporting partner rather than the leads. I actually has problem with this kind of character too woman or man. But many drama has this many trope so I usually get over it. I'm surprised many complain about it in this thread. This writers seems tend to hold biased with woman character in this drama so.

It's technically really good drama because they explore many conflicted and used to their potential to explore it with many times makes sense given the narrative. There is sometimes the plot feels too convenient and repetitive. But it's minors complainto me. It's just maybe it's not what people expeting since this drama too centered with Rong family and not male leads despite it's he is the first billing.


People should expected this since the synopsis implied the plot would unfold aound rong family.

Off course, outside of Rong worlds, the worlds they live is still dominated by man. The emperor is a man. Goverment filled by man. The show emphasis in that too. I don't know I heard they will switch from martiarcal to patriarchy system soon. But I don't know if it's true.

I don't find it equal either. It's might be deliberated. Since this drama potrayed matriarchal drama and the male turn into submissive roles. Not only the leads. But he break his vow do I don't know dynamic will turn into the future

Agreed. He planned to get close to her with his crazy planned. But I don't think he executed it yet. Or else, how would he know he will fall onto Shanbao of all people from a cliff? He might fall into unknown teritorry. If shanbao just arrive late , he might have died. His move is too stupid if he fake it.

I agreed. I think he planned it, but his planned is never been used. People who want to kill him is exist. His friend is not the one who tried to poisoned and trapped him into the cliff.

This friend of him think he already executed his dangerous planned.

I think there will be some rival in the second half between the leads. it seems there will be conflict between Rong family and the goverment. It's just my guess though.
