Article The Antihero Trap Spoiler
I think anti hero is also the one who themselves creating conflict, and doesn't always about moral. Like their intention might be noble at first but it end up creating more tragedy, like Lee Kyung Hee did with Kang Ma Ru. it's like a brilliant approach and idea about antiheroes.

his selfless act and in general creating worse human nature. for example, when he take the fall for Jae Hee cause JH choose the wrong path with absence of him, and Maru with his criminal record end up doing dirty work for choco hospital bill and loan inheritance from his father. and his rejection of Eun Gi love in that beach cause EG to create little monster in her, and end up harming EG, rather than let Eung Gi free

admit what the tittle means. The Nice Guy never seen anywhere in the world.

In the end he end up doing selfish and for his benefit in the end (received JH help of free him from wrongly accused, and leave eun gi, choco and JaeGil for years for completing his study in the US)

What an extraordinary article I can't believe how well written it is. This person really decided to sit down and…
I think Do Hyun So has decent character arc, but his transition from no resonate emotional connection to very emotional personal in the end is abit wiplash and in your face for me. but nevertheless. I agree i like do hyun soo. as anti hero.

i think lee kyung hee in innocent man does it better. like in the end, i still believe he is still the first person i saw from the first episode.

And I love LJK char more in time between dog and wolf. he is sort of antihero too.

Vincenzo himself is the most vanilla anti hero ever. He is given the faux anti hero/villain background (raised…
for me vincenzo is heading ibto a villain than a hero. he is just happened in people vulnerable side in south korea. he has no sense of justice or moral. He killed someone who willing to help them, ffs. it's just happened his girl is the daughter of lawyer for his mom case. and want to get revenge on babel because he almost got killed, if he is in babel group the first time he arrived at korea, he might be in their side. I just has no resonant feeling towards his character. and the character lacking depth.

Yo Yun Seuk and chae won surprisingly awkward and has little chemistry in movie I saw. it's surprinsing since they are a good actor individually.

I think I will goes towatds Moon Chae Won and Chi Jang wook. he knows hiw to build chemistry with his leading lady. chae yo Jung and young dae seems fun.

I totally agree with your analysis of Kim Eun-sook and Lee Woo-jung.And I feel that some writers are really overrated…
well sorry. TKEM has low rating due to the circumstance that all people at that time watching The world of the married aired. it's just one bad luck and writers like kim eun seuk won't disappear anytime soon. she knows her card and TKEM is just one drama which is surprisingly not hits the right notes at the times it's airing. but she will comeback. I know I actually don't like her writing style, including mrs sunshine. but she knows how to make buzz her drama and she is already has a name in kdrama industry

The bad reviews are not because he is a player. It is because he is described as a manipulative freak and everyone…
Well it's at times like that in real life. We don't get explanation bcause everyone is wearing mask and we don't get the answer because we are not always watching them 24/7. But a TV series shouldn't be like that. We are watching him even if he is alone. it's just annoying as drama character. How can you connect with the male lead if you only bring a glance of his backstory and reason behind his action? Heck, Sool'ah WHo I wish helping us audience to see his past with her just dissapear all of sudden. That's just plain bad writing.

I think the biggest con with this drama is the repetitiveness. I don't find it bland but I think what makes it…
even if there is continue of become repititive, there must be something many new information added in those. this is story in television with only 10 episode. and we are viewers don't want to watch the same repetition we already watch 2-3 episode ago. and the writers seems doesn't used a side character like ex gf of Jaeon and Do Hyuk as a person, more like just a mere plot device to move the plot. it just the premise and idea is good, but the execution lack something. like nuance or real emotion? it's either the writing or the acting is not good enough to add sonething more. . I think Han Soo Hee is doing a good job in her character, but still lack something. but
I bother more about SongKang who lack emotion and it turn off the complexity of his character.

they might be make the character realistic because character like Jae On and Nabi do exist. but boy do they lack depth and background other than their personality on the surface? all they do are staring contest with that bland expression, and make out and having sex, bad jusgement, break up, feels attraction, make up again. and always in circle. at least give me something more. might be if Jaeon and Nabi acted by more nuance actor, I might be understand the writers intent, and should know what staring contest purposed means. but yeah, I'm bored.

Review Youth of May
I think it's more realistic they are being selfish in the end, since the girl has been abused her whole life, and the guy always obey his father. after all, it make sense they act that way. it will be less human if they are not so. there is selfishness in them which led them to their tragic fate. they are being selfish it make their family put in dangers situation. in the end, the girl has to sacrifice for her relative to paid her sin.

Very interesting article and kudos to how much thought and work you and the participants put in. I've never really…
I once hate the actor who played the character I hated. I understand it's irrational. but yeahlol. so I understand that feeling. Kang To's character in gaksital makes me hate Joo Won and make me allergic of him for a while before I come to my sense and said it to myself it's just acting.

i like the villain in vincenzo than the female lead more too.... since the villain has more dynamics to their…
true.... I don't get why we have to root for him since he judge something in subjective way.

and the geumza plaza advice him to not gonna chance his way. lol

the way he always get his way without adding any real struggle and obstacle and questioning his action not only kill the suspense, but kill the characters too. And I lost track in his trajectory and no longer care.

It's because him to her mother died too. it's pity since the impact on him is not as big as I though.

I agree that most female villains are so poorly written and trope-heavy that the audience inevitably ends up hating…
I don't want to against frmale viewers but in my observation, it's true as viewers we are biased and tend to root for the leads despite between leads and villain, they might have the same depth and good arc. but we are tend to act more soft when it comes to male villain, especially if they acted by known popular leads.

not just the villain, the writers mostly doesn't make effort writing the female lead.

I agree with your review about male lead in fated to love you kvrrsion. in fact he is more in a villain roles in the story since he is the one who start it, and cause the damage and conflict in thesecond and third act in the drama.

i like the villain in vincenzo than the female lead more too.... since the villain has more dynamics to their…
lol true. vincenzo is too distant even to the viewers I just can't connect with him. even till the end his character remain a mystery to me. and there is nothing SJK can added to his acting by playing him.

he is a definition of hypocrite. and playing the judge all the time. for me he is not an anti hero, but a villain, since there is nothing I can root. and geumza plaza seems idolworship him, make him more unlikable. lol

I've noticed that Fls in general are way less likable than MLs. So I'm not surprised that female villains are…
i like the villain in vincenzo than the female lead more too.... since the villain has more dynamics to their story. then again I hate the male leads in vinzenco tooo.. since they written him with 0 depth . ugh i hate him so much. I almost hating Joong Ki for playing him since SJK praising him to the highest heaven.

one of my most hate male lead after kangto in gaksital.

among female villain... I freakin love Han Jae Hee's arc. (Park Si Yeon) in Innocent Man... She might be doing something wrong and make u questioning her moral when she is betraying her lover. But it's so fits with her background character who is lived in poverty in her younger days and always lived in fear because of her brother who is total criminal. she is already damage since young. . she want to taste that elusive world, which is becoming rich and take for grant what she already has in the past. if she is born rich, the story might be different. it's just it makes her so human despite being petty, selfish, and manipulative.

the writers is not take her side, nor she take eun gi side, since both woman wrong or hurt our male lead and has their own flaws. though i really think the writers flash out Han Jae Hee better.

the second villain female lead i love is Young Mi (Kim So Yeon) in all about eve. the ark is abit similar to Han Jae Hee, and compute against the female lead except they lost a precious think they take for grant in different way

honorable mention is Seo Eun Joo in beautiful world.

they are cruel like a villain, but they get written in such a way, they seems human and complex.

see? who said there is no interesting female villain who get flash out well and acted by amazing actress? it's just the majority of drama watchers are female, and they already judge the female villain harsly and hating on them and take side.

meanwhile when the male villain is hot, they will give us endless reason the reason... but but they are hot!
