Wait so does that mean when the 10yr contract was up and the person had to die, it indirectly caused the death…
Based on what we've seen, it was Dohee's parents who signed a 10 year contract with GuWon and ended up dying because of it, and Madam Ju witnessing it happening. Who knows if she also signed a contract as well, but it doesn't seem likely because when she died GuWon had lost his demon powers already.
I feel these next few episodes will be full of heartbreak.
I honestly do not think that GuWon killed DoHee; I think he witnessed her being killed, and that caused him to lose it and kill most, if not all, of the townspeople, ultimately making him lose his soul and turn into a demon. I wonder why she was killed though?
I feel like this is going to be the reason that they break up: GuWon will feel like he is good enough to be with her because he thinks that he killed her in his past life. I don't think Dohee would care much about her past life like that, but I feel like he will feel guilty.
OR they will go down the route of GuWon losing his human emotions. I feel like his conversation with G*D was put in the episode for a purpose, as well as the couple with Alzheimer's. GuWon losing his emotions and not remembering her would mimic the couple with Alzheimer's in this episode. That could also be a reason why they break up.
I don't know what it is about this drama, but I've never been so obsessed with a drama before. I have watched the show 4+ times now and probably have seen every TikTok and Twitter post related to the show; I am constantly watching edits on YouTube...The My Demon power. I love the chemistry between the main leads, the old-drama feels the show has, the side characters, and the comedy. I am excited about the new episodes this week! Also, this show has me on the Kim YooJung hype-train, and I plan to watch all her old kdrams starting with Love in the Moonlight.
I'm so confused. I feel like we got a lot of content for this behind the scenes but at the same time it looks…
Yes I also felt like this behind the scenes was especially short and missed a lot of scenes this episode. I wanted to see the BTS behind the piggyback scene lol. Crossing my fingers that we will get a lot more scenes on the Blue-Ray!
Wish they included more of Dohee taking off GuWon's bandage in the beginning scene in ep 9 from the BTS..... They have such natural chemistry btw; it makes me want to re-watch their scenes over and over again.
Song Kang is really a Demon-ically handsomely insanely beautiful person in this drama. I am so seated for this…
I always have to end up rewinding scenes and watching them again, because the first time watching I will not even be paying attention to the dialogue, but will instead be looking at Song Kang and Kim Yoojung’s visuals lol. He is so handsome and she is so beautiful.
I am very interested to see what the conflict will be for the rest of the episodes now that GuWon has his powers back because him + powers= invincible. They have to figure out that Ju's son is the bad guy, but once that happens what else will be left? There has to be more twists and conflicts to last us 6 more episodes.
I don't believe the FL and ML's relationship or affection... it's not believable at al
I respect your opinion! However, I can totally see where it came from on both sides:
Dohee was initially instantly attracted to him by his looks (which I totally get, LOL). I think him always saving her, being there for her, and protecting her turned that attraction into actually liking him. Natural chemistry was always there for her (office scene, him holding her hand at the bar, the tango scene), but I think the little things, him changing her funeral dress so she could connect with Ju, him marrying her because he didn't want her to die, trying to help her find the killer not because he wanted his tattoo back but to help her, him always protecting her, turned that attraction into liking him.
And I mean, Dohee was the one that made Guwon (who hadn't felt human emotions in 200 years) feel all the emotions. Initially, it was pity for her and feeling sorry for her for her situation. You can see it in episode 3 with Ju dying, and see it in episode 4 when she talks about how she has gotten into a habit of working, working, working due to her past self wanting to bury away the pain of her parent's death. You can also see that he begins to feel attracted to her (office scene) and that he is scared of that attraction (the whole mess in episode 5)
In conclusion, I think they both felt the sparks, the natural attraction and connection pretty early on. GuWon tried to ignore it and push it away, and DoHee ignored it once GuWon pushed her away.
Do I think they are madly in love at this point? No, but I think they are getting there. But I can see where the relationship came from. It came from a mutual place of attraction, of liking that other person because of the way they make you feel and wanting to explore that relationship further.
But anyhow, this turned into a word vomit and I apologize LOL.
In episode 8, after Dohee "saves" Gu Won, Gxd explicitly says, "She saved him; she doesn't know how that will come to threaten her own life."
And now, in episode 9, Gxd says: "You can get your powers back once the woman dies." She also mentions that the powers are fading and that Gu Won is going to die if he doesn't get his powers back.
At the beginning of ep 9, after the kiss, it seems like Gu Won got his powers back (he was able to freeze the water). However, after they have *ahem*, the clocks stop, and it seems like he lost his powers again. for good. My question is. why???
This completely destroys my theory that Dohee was the one controlling the powers in episode 8 by saving Gu Won unless they both can control the demon powers.
So are the powers truly fading, or has Gu Won lost control of them, and they are solely with Dohee now after the "ahem"? Is Gxd telling the whole truth or only part of the truth for things to happen the way she wants them to?
Yeah there is no way that Gu Won is going to let Dohee die, unless she figures everything out and sacrifices herself. Im really interested to see how their past life ties into all of this.

I have so many questions!!!!!
Im really interested to see how their past life ties into all of this.
