exactly!! I think viewers forgey how lonely she's been for most of her life. I really feel for her when the only affection she's gotten is from ML and SML. until then, all the other characters bully her with a passion for some reason. Ah, the manager lady is a sweetie too though so I'm glad she's there for her
I don't get the hate for the female lead. she's the reason I'm watching! I love that she is genuinely kind but also so strong. She calls out the male lead on his hypocrisy and stands up for herself against the awful second female lead. I usually drop drama's with female leads who are too naive and candy like, but this is refreshing and kind of a nice mix of a modern FL with a throwback to old kdramas. the fantasy element could use some work lol but I'm hoping that gets better. also really really really hoping that the SFL gets her comeuppance because geez what a piece of work. the SML is charming and for the first time, I wouldn't mind if our FL ends up with him even though it's obvious that won't happen. lastly, ughh the ML is sweet but I hate cheating storylines and this is definitely what it is.
what's with the low rating? easily a 9+ star drama. It's laugh out loud, gasping for air, kind of funny and it has a ton of heart. It did take me a couple eps to get into it but now I'm hooked

I adore this drama! It has a beautiful message, very quirky, with heartwarming relationships (not only romantic) and very few bad guys. Definitely keep going. Just remember it's meant to be ridiculous and over-the top, not serious.
Just watched her in Hellbound and she's such a good actress. Couldn't get over how similar she looks to Son Ye Jin (its uncanny--I don't think I could tell them apart )
Prime Minister & I was pretty good! Kind overly dramatic but decent re-watch. Also, Father is Strange if you like family dramas. I recommend Hi Bye Mama if you're loving SeJoon :)
Just saw someone mention the amnesia plot-line and I checked it out on the KBS website and omg, we either have a world of pain coming for us or it's going to be really fun. I'm guessing the show is so fast paced because of the ML's upcoming amnesia and Sera conning him into a relationship.

It was Dan-dan who made him realize that children also have feelings and thoughts. From that moment on, his heart slowly beats for her, and he starts leaning on her, who’s 14 years his junior. Meanwhile, Young-guk loses all the memories since he was 22. And Sara quietly approaches him and tells him that they had actually been an item on the down-low. But strangely, Young-guk finds himself more attracted to Dan-dan."
As for the uncle: "He is Dan-dan’s uncle. Though he once dreamt of becoming a soccer player, things didn’t really work out as he wanted. He’s the world’s best son to his mom and boasts handsome looks, but he’s also a troublemaker who blew money away for his businesses. Then one day, he meets Sara and falls in love." WE GUESSED THIS PLOT LINE CORRECTLY YAY!
I'm actually really excited for this show! I don't usually watch family kdramas (except Father is Strange) but i'm eagerly awaiting this show every week <3
Honestly I know generally mothers in this drama are less than stellar and Young sil (and now her mother) are awful…
I find it irritating that I'm starting to prefer Anna Kim to all the other mothers in the drama, because I really, really don't like Anna Kim! She abandoned her daughter, didn't register her and never paid for child support (even when she became rich). She washed her hands off of DanDan. She can't blame her ex for DanDan's current situation when he did his best with the resources he had. But I also really hate DanDan's current family and I almost wish DanDan was an orphan so we won't have to deal with their toxicity but oh well...we wouldn't have a drama otherwise!
I was thinking the same about her uncle.. he said when he saw her how much she has grown and to be a beauty……
OMG I didn't even think of that. I seriously hope not! Based on the poster, the uncle and Sara are on either side of the main couple, indicating they're second leads to the chairman and DanDan, but fingers crossed the drama doesn't go down that route :|
I'm all caught up and smiling ear to ear. I thought this drama would infuriate me but I'm loving DanDan. So happy she was honest this episode. It's wonderful how steady paced this show is, and I hope it keeps up this tempo and doesn't drag. I'm really curious as to why DanDan's uncle is listed as a main character? Will he have a larger role?
SUPERB kdrama--can't believe I never came across it before and it's not more well-known. The actors were excellent, and the story...perfection. The ending was so great and very realistic. I loved how well the show tackled so many societal issues. I thought the many misunderstandings made it hilarious and the show was laughing at itself. Can't wait to rewatch--Geum Dong is so CUTE <3 Note: the show description doesn't properly encompass the many plotlines in the drama.

Yes, it's so pure that it's almost unbearable lol. I love HuaLian so much! And also love how the plot is sooo much more than romance, its actually so wild and twisted. I still haven't revisited 2HA because it was too serious for me, and I haven't tried Nachang, Copper COins or Liu Yao (will need to check those out!). But I recently started Dinghai Fusheng Records which is HILARIOUS and promises to be a great read :)

TGCF is a gem and I couldn't agree with your descriptions more. It's hard to describe its impact on me <3 Frankly gave up on 2HA, maybe because of the bad MTL, but will def be trying SPL after this thread too!
