So far its still pretty faithful with the novel even with many changed... And i like some changes too. Forward i think big change will happen to Shen yurong and the princess compared to the novel. They executed by 3/4 of the story, but i feel they would keep them until the end of the drama.

Did they try to make the husband pitiful? In the novel he was quite manipulatif and he manipulated the princess too. The princess enjoy torturing other people though.
