I visited Korea few months ago, and as I saw, actually not everyone use SS, I mean it's not that common as expected. Spend time in Seoul's metro and look around, there are Chinese phone too, and the most common phone among young pp is ... Iphone, like just 1/3 of them use SS, celebrities, they also use Iphone ! The problem is in the drama they lack of variety of their SS phone, so everyone just use the most recent model of SS, obiviously that's ads, even it's really expensive and doesn't fit with the situation, which is really off.

Actually I suspect all characters in this drama, and they must have some position to be there, include Mr Yuan, the fortune teller, Shangguan Qin also must have some important role, not just an officer. Finally all cases are related to a big case at the end.
