U don't need to keep everything like the novel, specially when they already changed bunch of important things in the drama, and absolutely drama watchers don't need read extra stuffs from novel to explain the plot, just lazy writing for me.

I reply to Baebaexin with her weibo link above, even in youku weibo page, pp only complain about the reduce from 2ep to 1ep, called Youku is so stinky bla bla bla ... , all 4 hashtag of Moyun in weibo had no mention about 40ep, there is no post in douban about total eps will be reduced either. Xiaohongshu, douyin ... also no mention.
That's why I said I don't know where pp get these info, someone give me a link show that there is information clearly say this drama will be reduced from 40ep to 36ep, even just a melon post or it all just pp guess here and there.

Well, let's see, even if it need to be cut, I hope they do it after the full released. I also read that the rules only applied for drama that was filmed after the rules issued ( August last year ), for those filmed before, it will be handled according to actual circumstances. Moyun was filmed before, may be that's why they can negotiate for it. It had the license to air anyway, not like they aired a different version. I don't think the review bureau can ignore the fact that so many eps are almost 50m while reviewed it for the first time, and they let it pass anyway

If that's really true, everyone already was freaking out. The calendar of Youku didn't put the word "big final" in ep 36 either. So I don't know where do all those rumors come from ? Also from youku officical site, the number of eps is still 40

as for his stupid, I think it bcs he always care about his reputation first instead of really love and care for his family and that makes him unreacted. I lost count of how many wife he had, and all end up miserable. He's also quite a cheap person, he didn't dare to send his daughter to be punished, but only came to defend them when see the tide turn up good for him and act as a good dad. He's not an undecided person, but he decided to put his name above everything else. His family ruined by him as the consequence.

I've never read the novel but doesn't mean that you need to follow it 1-1. Things are not reasonable can change, or else what's the point of a screen writer. They already changed important things that I praised for as instead of soul transmission, they let Xue Feng Fei took Jiang Li identity, so I hope they put effort to write a better plot for this arc.

to be honest, I found that the latest plot is really messy and unreasonable, i hope they really make Ji Shuran confesses all her crime by herself ( include her affairs with that painter and how she blamed JL for her lost child, and other crimes ). Or they should have more solid evidence, instead being accused by a spirit !!! with a crazy priest and a concubine who has been labelled crazy for years. The blood letter can be faked, a crazy person now suddenly not ... crazy anymore, and everyone believe it ??? The girl who did fake voice of Jiang Yue, never met her before, so how she can faked her voice to the point that everyone said that it's really Jiang Yue voice ?
Although people still can have doubt about Ji Shuran but she can simply deny everything. Who can force her to plead guilty ?
With one of those main villains to be get rid of like that, it is not so satisfying to me.
Anyway, I'm glad this arc is finished, they have dragged the whole JIang family story for too long

I've never had a like about him. While he's less brutal than King Cheng, he's also just someone after power, and will use any way to archive it. He didn't dare to marry his father's concubine to gain support from her father's side, he put his teacher - Jiang Li's father to the prime minister position even he's not so brillant. As an official, Jiang Li's father didn't do much for common people but just care for his reputation. He is PM only bcs the emperor needs more support in the court.
