A lot of reasons can be used to explain ( one of it is Youku and its craziness ), but when I look at others more famous drama, formulation for Chinese seem like always is a dominant, arrogant poweful ML or master-student type and a fragile, weak FL , and their boring love story which has been told like thousand times, meh !

that youku is so crazy, their schedule of broadcast ruins the pace of this drama, now they release so much trailer and who knows, may be just nothing next :/
