For anyone who wants more recommendations, here are some of my favorite Czech films:Happy End (1967) - My favorite…
The comment that I replied to linked to a blog, which had a link to the google drive folder. I haven't checked it recently, so I don't know if all of the films are still there.
Agreed! JDramas fit my tastes much more than most K Dramas. I drop fewer of them and they have much higher average…
I think French and Japanese cinema have a similar amount of range and diversity. They both make all different types of films, and they even had a New Wave at around the same time.
There should be an option to skip a round, for people who haven't watched the dramas. Otherwise the game is pointless, because people will vote randomly.
Great article. Here are some more recommendations Medical: Dr. Koto's Clinic + Specials and Season 2 (There is…
Kita no Kuni Kara was the last J-drama that I watched before publishing this article, and I'm glad I did. I think it might be my all-time favorite, but Suika comes pretty close.
I just added Dr. Koto's Clinic to my plan-to-watch list. Is it mainly a medical drama, or is it also slice-of-life?
My mostly beloved j-drama of all times is Mr Brain. It has everything: plot, mystery, action, great acting and…
Takuya Kimura (the lead actor in Mr. Brain) is a great actor. Long Vacation and Hero are great too. In Hero he solves cases, so you'll probably like that one.
Oh! I LOVED the old Toho Godzilla movies along with Ultraman and Speed Racer cartoons back in the '60s. In the…
Unfortunately none of the 70s Taigas seem to have subtitles available online (at least not that I could find), so it's lucky that you got to watch them on TV.
Yes, Kurosawa's movies are great. I would recommend High and Low and Throne of Blood if you haven't seen them. If you like samurai movies then I also recommend Harakiri directed by Kobayashi.
Strongly recommend Kazoku Game, probably still my favorite j-drama.
It's one of my favorites too. You might also like the 1983 movie version of Kazoku Game (I don't think it's as good as the 2013 version, but it's still worth watching).
I've only seen 3 Taiwanese dramas. Which Taiwanese dramas would you recommend?
I haven't seen any of them, so I'm not sure what to recommend. The only rural drama that I've watched so far is Kita no Kuni Kara (1981).
And who is "we"? I just checked the rules, and it doesn't say anything about TV shows not counting.
I think you mean 1996. When I click the link under the image, it takes me to the 1996 version.
Even in the days before MDL existed, 1 Litre of Tears was very popular on review websites. I remember almost everyone gave it a 10/10.

The Great White Tower and Jin are both good.
