Title Light on Me
So, I've been thinking more about the production design and I wonder if anyone has any theories about the use…
not sure about all uses of color blue but for example, when Shinwoo used a blue rose to draw Taekyung's attention, the meaning of the blue rose is 'mystery' and 'attaining the impossible' - I think they were going for the second idea. Blue in itself has many meanings but I think the most relevant ones here are those of bravery and determination. Blue changes its meaning across many forms, for example, blue ribbons symbolize the best prize while feeling blue has a bad connotation. It's a wide area to explore.
As to Taekyung's makeup I also think it's a way to visually show his character development; how he goes from being extremely pale (which goes hand in hand with his self-assumed invisibility) to a more life-like shade (this increase is bigger once he starts being the object of affection of our male leads) alludes to his own growth and with those around him.

Have u heard the News?' This might never happen.
I just searched and...R.I.P to the victim. hope justice gets served. From what I've seen he hasn't been sentenced but he has admitted to the crime. This whole ordeal makes me sick. hope he gets what he deserves and pays for his actions against the victim.

I think so too, Taekyung will over hear it and Daon may see him accidentally hearing that comment.I will feel…
That's why it's so confusing 😭 but maybe his first love was a person that was already there you know? Like, someone that had wanted to be friends with him and he ended up falling for them? We need more explanation cause if he did have a first live before taekyung, where was he when he was bullied? Did he become a bully as well? There's so much about shinwoo we don't know (and probably never will) and so we're stuck on this guessing spiral 😔

Actually, Taekyung might not be Shinwoo's first love. We know one of the three boys is Taekyung's first love but it wasn't said that Taekyung was Shinwoo's first love, it was said that Shinwoo once fell in love at first sight (with Taekyung). So Taekyung is Shinwoo's first love at first sight, but might not be Shinwoo's first love.

Did anyone else cry during ep.7? No? Because I sure did. During's Shinwoo's scene at the party + Daon's scene at the end. I'm just so deeply involved with this story and these characters, all the emotions have such a big impact. I love all the boys but my favorite is still Shinwoo. Btw, to everyone who keeps calling him an asshole and whatnot - are we watching the same drama? Did you pay attention to the details? Cause that's something I also love about this show - all the little details, hand gestures, glances, tone of speaking - all of it culminates into the narrative and exposes the characters without telling us upfront that that's how they behave. It's pretty obvious from the first second that Shinwoo doesn't hate Taekyung so I don't really understand the people who keep emphasizing that they don't like each other or that they are enemies. Keep watching the show, notice the details. Even before Shinwoo admitted to not hating Taekyung by his own words, tons of actions told that he did not hate him, in fact, feeling something quite opposite. And Daon, he might be a people-pleaser like many of you say he is (and I agree) but that doesn't mean he isn't genuine in what he does and behaves or that he doesn't actually care about anything other than the way people see him and his reputation. Daon's so much more than that. Can't wait to see his real story and how he changes along the show. (I hope there's a "dark side" to him cause Taekyung's attention is all his for now and I need Shinwoo to be endgame TT ). Notice the details, don't close your eyes to them, you'll enjoy the show and understand the story and events way more than if you were assuming that things are what they seem at first glance.

The whole episode 4 I was hugging my pillow and squealing at Shinwoo and Taekyung interactions! They're so awkward and so cute 🤧🤧 Noh Shinwoo is getting more adorable each passing second. Daon's smile and Shiwoon's playfulness keep growing on me <3 Plus, is it just me or is Taekyun more handsome each episode? Or it's the fact that I like him more and more? ><

Is the only webtoon for the spinoff of the teacher? The main story doesn't have a manhwa of its own?
However, I think there's also a manhua for the show but I'm not sure, I've only heard people talking about a manhua, never actually found it.

I think you have absolutely nothing to worry about. It's destiny.
Praying the show writers and producers go along with destiny 🙏

I actually went to play the game this show is based on cause of how much I'm enjoying it and I gotta say - the show is much better. The game is a lot more uneventful and while plenty is similar, some characters were changed and I think the love interests in the drama are way better than the ones on the game. Taekyung (Taemin in the game) is pretty similar in both, except that you get to make decisions for him in the game (it's fun to revive some lines from the show). There's no Sohee on the game version and that's the only thing I like more about the game. Everything else the show does better. There's some minor changes I don't find relevant (EP3 SPOILER AHEAD) like the fact that in the game the guys bullying Shinwoo don't say anything about a secret and Taekyung in the game throws a punch at the main bully (while in the show he doesn't get physically violent) + gets beaten up (in the show he's hit with only one single punch or the fact that the teacher appears a lot more in the game and seems to have a love interest as well (?) Or that siwoon doesn't actually exist in the game and in his stead there are two different characters - I think it was a great choice to just have siwoon in the drama.I started playing the game to get some hints of future episodes but after what has happened in the series most scenarios are choice-related so I don't think that's how the series will go 🤔

The main story is based on a video game of the same name (in English). The Korean name can be translated to Sae-bit boys highschool (I think?). You can play the English version of the game in the otome game app Storypick.

Aaaaaa I need all the episodes now 😭😭 I'm shipping Taekyung x Shinwoo so hard, I hope they end up being the couple. I love the other two boys but Taekyung x Shinwoo not only has more chemistry but now that we've been teased with Shinwoo's storyline I'm really excited at the possibilities of their story!! I feel like there's so much that can be done with these two. If Shinwoo does not end up being Taekyung's first love I don't know how I'll cope 🤧

yeah im enjoying it too. some people were saying taekyung's decision was abrupt but he clearly states in the begining…
Yeeees!! I relate to him in some stances as well, especially the want to change and try to make some friends. His character is very raw and real so I don't understand the backlash on the writing - everyone's different. People bashing him for being expressionless or badly written when his character is supposed to be just like that. That's Taekyung. If you don't like it, fine, but that's his personality, you can't blame it on writing or acting cause that's how he's supposed to be. There's tons of people like that. I have a friend that is very very similar to Taekyung so I don't understand what all the fuss is about 😔

I understand the negative comments but honestly, I'm really enjoying the show so far!! There's only 2 eps out at the moment of writing this but one thing I really like is that we don't know who are the people who will end up together! We know one of the three student council boys will end up being Tae Kyung's first love but we don't know who and idk why, I love plots like these - where you start growing your own ideas instead of being told who to ship from the get-go. It's a breath of fresh air for a BL, very light, not very deep, just something fun to watch to lighten up your mood. I understand it's not what most expected it to be but I'm enjoying so far! It's a great refuge from negativity.
I think what most people don't enjoy as much is that so far it's a character-driven show, not a plot-driven one. If you don't like the characters then you won't find it very interesting but if you do then you'll definitely like it!

I agree with all this. I loved Marco's outfit in the finale, and I generally can't stand 80's fashion trends lately.Where…
Yes omg his outfit is so great!
About Michael, I read it on twitter, some retweets by the CIWYW official account and some official tweets by them. Fortunately Michael is getting some help to keep him stable and not let it get to him too much. According to the official account, he got too into immersed in the "Method Acting" that Aam teached him and started thinking and feeling like Bas unconsciously. I don't think it's nearly half as bad as Heath Ledger and since he's being taken care of I'm sure he'll get better ^^

This show is superb - not one of my favorites and obviously low budget but one of the best acted bls out there. The scriptwriting is also very well done. This series accomplished its main purpose - to bring awareness to the things going on behind the scenes of the bl industry - and gave us so much more. I'll probably do a more in-depth review later but I just want to add that Michael as Bas is show stopping - he did such a wonderful job!! It's unfortunate that Michael got hurt out of this because of playing Bas - he started showing the same symptoms and behavior and had to receive psychological assistance in order not to break down. The official account of the show stated in a random facts thread on twitter that Michael hasn't genuinely smiled in a while and seems to have taken a big hit with this role :(
My favorite thing about this show is definitely Marco. HE IS SO ADORABLE AND SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER - I SWEAR. He's just such an amazing and genuine character, there's nothing to not like. Daniel is GORGEOUS and you bet that his performance as Marco got me and I'll follow whatever acting work he does in the future.

I know right? I loved KIS in Wish You and his chemistry with the other guy there. Aesthetically, I think KIS is…
Preach the last part of your comment, I fully agree with that. Good actor or not, famous actor or not, these things do not determine good chemistry or believable interactions. Putting them together doesn't automatically make a good show.
