if you judge it by romcom standards, this is pretty cuteee

just binge watched this on a whim after picking it out of my to watch list and I have to admit, even with all its flaws, it was pretty enjoyable! i feel like the main downside is the lack of build-up to the attraction between the characters. like, we don't really see why they fall for each other, its more of a thing that just happens. i also wasn't a bit fan of how there was always some cliché plot the moment after their relationship seemed to be going well. this happens a lot in bl, but idk if its because the episodes are short and so are these scenes, it seems like everything happens in a couple of frames and the pace just isn't great
still, they are actually really cute for most of the 2nd half of the show, and I found myself rooting for them and wanting to shake both of them by the shoulders to get it together and try to simply do their best to show their love for each other
funnily enough, while I didn't like the use of the ex as a plot device, I did end up liking his character more than I thought initially
