Again, why is this not airing?? I'm surprised and perplexed since it's LYF. Shouldn't her drama turnover rate be over the roof, so why is this shelved?

it's a little frustrating but usually respect in east asia doesn't just come from age and accomplishments, but…
I get that. It's just cultural difference. My mom, immigrated from China, said China is a materialistic and superficial society. If you don't have the lstest brand or wesr something expensive then they look down on you and treatment is different while in western country we dont care too much about that unless you specifically go to these upper high scale restaurants then yes you are expected to dress fancy. But im sure if one wears a hoodie and jeans to a luxury brand store itll be fine. I feel like if you are of old money or raised properly then one doesnt have to have brand designs written all over a shirt to showcase one's wealth. It's more about their manners and habits, how they converse and even how well traveled. I have a friend, who is an only child and her parents are well off, they have multuple apartments, luxury cars, vacations to European countries yearly etc, but she still had a part time job during hs and uni.

Also, they place strong emphasize on seniority in hs, uni and work. While all types of ages go to uni. Sometimes a 4th yr student will take a 1st yr uni class. We don't base things in seniority, only at work. I feel like that's mostly in all western countries. I dont think i could mentally live comfortably in China, Japan or Korea. Great for vacations though

I just got to say that working as a part time while going to school is not something to be embarrassed about. Everyone I knew worked part time while going to university, it's a norm and something to be proud of. Why is the 2ml embarrassed? bc he's the star in his department and working pt smudges his perfect image he portrayed in uni? Or students typically make fun and look down on hard working students? Why does these shows like to dipict hard working students like this, like it's shameful to work and study simultaneously. I think it's great and students get to learn time management. I'm not being emotional or angery, I'm just baffled why most dramas like to depict like this

Gold digger?
Yes. Pretty much. She's all like self righteous blaming 2ndml for being different prior to marriage. Saying hes immature and what not. But in reality she equally has poblems. She only liked him for his job title at work and assumed he would be financially capable. But when she realized he cant afford an apartment She's having second thoughts. She never really loved him as a person nor does she understand or know him. She just looks at whats on paper. Superfical

YooJin (2nd fl), is pretty darn selfish. She ditched ml for 2ml bc he seemed more capable and financially stable. But when she realized he isn't she's having second thoughts. She just want to find a rich man to leech off of.

it didn't take me interested cause I already watched that kind of stuff
I get you. This genre and plot is over used in Hollywood. But in Cdramas this is novel for them. So it was a success in China.

I thought I was nitpicking. That voice doesn’t match his looks and character
thank god, I thought I was the only one who thought that.

how is the budget for this drama
It's a low budget drama. That's what I read. I would say below S level.

The doctor's (at least the men) are following the diagnosis of the female doctor who misdiagnosed the empress…
Makes more sense. I do find it so foolish and ironic to keep the baby alive but ultimately it's going to kill the queen, so what's the point. unborn baby will die either way.

Patriarchy twisted this horrible ritual/custom to be a honour for widows
Definitely agreed with the whole "honor" facade

Yes, I got that. But, in doing so she risked being revealed. Either she's a saint or she's an idiot. She should know the importance of having anyone notice this pendant. I guess I shouldn't over think this since it's a YuZheng drama. He doesn't tend to cover all bases. He just needs a cause and reaction to continue the flow.

Can anyone tell me why the queen is sick, but the doctors intentionally say she's pregnant instead? Is it to kill her or something cuz I don't get the motive behind this.

To be honest, being a woman in ancient times was just a huge bummer. Being a concubine in the palace was the worst…
Well, I get why girls would want to marry into royalty even if it meant lack of freedom, harsh punishments from husband and possible deaths. Being a peasant or commoner, in those days, was worse. Probably lack of proper clothes, shelter, food and maybe even have to be sold to a brothel. Working day and night just to be poorly fed. Women had very low status back then, it's only those in royalty that get to be pampered and have some sort of powers. So in their perpsectives it's a better alternative. We use our modern day morals and prespectives to view this, hence why we dislike ever being in a palace.

I hope you did finish watching the drama because the answer to your question is towards the ending. I forget which…
ok, that's what I was confused but now you confirmed it makes sense now. I was confused how Duk Hwa, a human, can go to korea so easily if he lived in Quebec. Makes sense now. ty.

Actually, bjt has collaborated with Seven twice already. First time in Whirlwind Girl, 2nd time in New Generation:…
We might have to wait a long while for 2nd collabs then. I think 7 doesn't prefer 2nd collab with ml bc of antis. Ever since the horrible incident back in Without You era, she's pretty much stayed away from creating cp hype and created a boundary between men as to not cause any rumors. That's why after GA, when Mangotv and Steven Zhang wanted to collab with Seven for another drama, she rejected the offer. I think she just needs to let loose and not care about what every anti says. There's plenty of other actors that do 2nd and even 3rd collabs.

I’m praying for it too, but I feel like it’s too good to be true. Also, I haven’t seen Songyun acted twice…
Actually, bjt has collaborated with Seven twice already. First time in Whirlwind Girl, 2nd time in New Generation: New Home. There's also the actor that played 2nd ml in both 7's new dramas: Fight to You and Master of My Own. But in terms of costarring MLs, then not really. I hope one day she can collab with Allen again.

Currently, there's rumors of 7 collaborating with either jbr or Lixian, which they both have acted in Love 020.
