I'm already starting to dislike sml, typically some viewers are split and like sml with fl or have sml syndrome. I don't think this drama will have any of that. sml is just the bad guy

He gives off a stalker/pscho vibe. I think it could stem with the craziness of losing her, like she was once his happiness and light during his lowest downfall and so he's obsess with finding her, not matter what it costs. I read a comment somewhere that fl and him were married in her previous life but some misunderstanding happened and fl thought he killed her. Hence, why she's so afraid of seeing him. She was rebirth. In the drama, ofc they changed it.

I first saw the actress in Serenade of Peaceful Joy (something like that), and I felt she was such a cute adorable princess, she played the naive and angst role very well as a new actress. She was that actress and no other actress can play as well as she did. I was more captivated by her story line of princess and eunuch romance than the king (her father). Later, meaning just a couple days ago, I found out the princess was the main character in the novel but they switched to the king as main in the drama which makes sense since it's wk. Anyways, I didn't watch something Promise with xz, so this would be the official 2nd drama I'm watching of her and I'm enjoying her natural antics and small expressions. Her voice is also gentle and soothing to hear.

Fair. Dramas are very subjective to one’s liking. I definitely agree it’s not just solely about plot but also the appearance, acting, naturality, how they portray the characters, even the way the drama is filmed or directed. Unfortunately, the fl in the kdrama isn’t doing it for me with her acting and how she portray as a teen. I’m still going to give this a chance but I don’t see myself finishing this all the way.

Doesn’t the over soon have longer hours like 1.5hr while the Cdrama is 45mins usually. And it’s 40eps really, 45mins included the ads I believe as 40 was online and 45 was tv broadcasting.

Go Ahead is still one of my top drama. I've never felt the emotions I've felt watching other dramas, and I've watched almost 2 decades of taiwanese, kdramas and cdramas. Cdrama entertainment world is so highly condense and competitive, yet Go Ahead was no1 since it was airing daily. Turkey bought the copy rights to film as well and I think Thailand too. Goes to show how well received this drama was and still is. It's ok if other's prefer kdrama than cdrama, plenty viewers to go around.

Have you watched As Beautiful As You? Same actress and ml is Xukai, and I find him really handsome. Too much side characters, but I really enjoy the chemistry between the leads.

I find the fl and 2ml try too hard to be innocent or naive high schoolers, to the point it makes them look foolish and not natural enough. If you've never watched the cdrama version then I would say give it a go, if you have watched the Cdrama version then it's a bit of a let down since the cdrama version was done so wonderfully. 2ml in cdrama vserion is not just a 2ml, he's an important role and not a side character. He's basically a main character as well, and he's one of the many reasons why audience will laugh one second and cry the next, but it doesn't seem like the case in kversion. I also think they focus a bit too much on romance, and not enough on different types of family relationships, and how parents interact and raise their children create psychological issues in adulthood. In the cversion, they tackle different familial realtionships like left alone kids, single parent kids, tiger moms, parents that exploit their children, chidren born with enough love etc. Each have different outcomes in adulthood, but I'm not sure if this version will touch base on these topics. I think ml can look a bit more brooding and depressed bc that's how ml in cversion was. I'm going to give it a few more eps a try to see how they are in adulthood.

I watched ep 2, and I realized they kept most of the main plot, but have changed the essence of most things. Such as 2ml dating in hs, I was disappointed they changed his character. His character in the original was more focused on family, and never about love nor did he knew what romance was. He was still a boy that hasn't bloom in the opposite sex/romance department. All he wanted was to be legally part of fl's family name hence his confusion of him thinking he liked fl romantically bc he thought that was the only way, that if he married her and took her family last name then he would be a real legal member of the family. However, by dating in hs, he can't really portray that role. Now that his bio dad is asking him to move to US, I hope the script kept the reason as why he chose to move to US bc it's quite touching.

2ml, little bro, told fl to apologize...I know people say not to compare to the chinese version, but ZQ would never ask or suggest jj to apologize. He would always be on her side, protect and dote on her.

I like to think of her style a time line or symbolic meaning of her progression to her growth as an indivisual and as an entrepreneur. There's three stages, the first stage is of her as an engineer (that field isn't known to dress classy or nice. There's the stereotype where IT or engineers tend to dress "sloppy" or low effort. My sibling works in the softwear department and it kind of aligns with the sterteotype. Again not everyoneis like that but that's the impression. Second stage is of her getting her foot in the business world and trying to be an entrepreneur/ceo, and her change of attire kind of shows the inbetween, where she's sort of business casual and still finding her style. The third stage is where she's integrated herself as a CEO, she's learned to adapt and take charge and hold herself on the podium, hence the business suits and high heels.

That's ok if it allows proper promotion and a better airing date/time. Besides, there's a lot of period drama this month.
