I was curious so I went to his page, he has a few generous loyal fans that would give him a lot of flowers ranging from 8k to 20k flowers. It makes sense then. We only started this year in giving ss flowers. Jin Chao has played some good roles even though he's sml, his acting is good and not the least bit amatur. viewers noticed him in Silver Princess and Ruyi I guess. I just rmb watching him in ode to joy as a slum bag, man I hated him in that drama so he did very well.

Looool, I didn't realize I wrote that much. Even I scared myself. It's fine, it's her/his choice of watching abay or not. I'm not just waiting for shu to air.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with Cdrama industry but it's so saturated and competitive. This drama (abay) was airing in the same month of the insanely popular drama, and I thought abay wouldn't do as good as this other drama LYF S2. Thing is, by common sense, LYF S2 would have or should have surpassed abay as it's season 2, meaning LYF already aired their first season and was immensely successful and already had a large fan base, so everyone was anticipating and excited for S2. As well, LYF S2 aired first before abay, so there's already viewers watching LYF S2. However, abay's viewership was just as high and ratings were just as good. In the end, abay was the no 1 drama for the third quarter, surpassing other dramas. Not only that, abay is a modern drama, while LYF is a period drama. It's kind of a known thing that typically periods have higher viewership or noise/spot llight than modern dramas.

Why are the rating low? I don't follow XK (xukai) but I have watched on and off some of his dramas (dropped some here and there), while I have watched many of fl's dramas, tsy. I've never experienced her dramas where people rate the eps low 1 star before the eps have even aired. This is the case here, where people or antis/trolls rating low before eps have aired-mainly bc of xk (xk fans were mentioning this in the comment section or else I wouldn't have known. Apprently, that's been happening quite often with his past dramas.

Dramas are very subjective. What I like of this drama may not be what you like. I like their chemistry. XK is a good kisser, but I never enjoyed watching his kissing scenes (I'm not bashing or trolling him), it's just that sometimes, and this is a lot with other dramas, the leads kissing felt like two lips touching or smacking together with no technique. tsy's kissing has improved. I thoroughly enjoyed their kisses, they kiss like they enjoy each other and not for the sake of acting. They kiss like lovers and it's natural. xk in the drama as HT, kisses JX (fl's name) like he treasure her. Like silently asking her permission, and going soft before increasing the passion, and she reciprocates well.

Their interactions and chemistry is really good. It's so soothing and natural like an every day couple. Not cringey at all. I stopped watching idol romances a long time ago, and I would count this drama as the epitome of all idol dramas.

I enjoy ml's philosphies of life and work in the drama. He's a mentor to fl and the skills and way of thinking he teaches her are invaluable. Fl is a smart girl, some may view her as a damsel in distress, but I don't view her that way. she's a smart girl, has a Masters or PHD (whichever) in computer science and working in a male dominated field. She has innovation and drive, what she lacked was experience so there's always going to be tumbles along the way. HT (ml) helps her or gives her advises but he does it in a way to let her find her own way. He'll give clues and opinions and but won't dictate where she should go and if she falls he'll let her fall. This drama is about fl growing and learning to be an euntrepenuer in a male dominated industry, and self growth as well.

What I didnt like was way too may side characters. Each side character had their own romance line which took up a lot of screen time, next time I hope the fl only has 1 bff and not 3.

Also, if you want fast quick pace romance, this is not it. It's slow burn, but once the romance starts it's so sweet and cute.

It's been months and I'm still stuck, can't get over their chemistry. I would love for them to collaborate in another project, but I know chances are slim. What I hope is them appearing in award shows or performances together, perhaps to sit together.

What is with 2ml and man handling women. He always has his hand around a woman's throat and then also throwing them away like rag dolls. I don't like how he treats women, he may be all infatuated and in love with Ming ming, but if fl isn't ming ming he'll kill her without a second thought if she's in his way. He doesn't care about lives, and there's no integrity or morality in him.

I found out the film schedule and one of them says XY travels 10000 or 100000 years in the past, and also travels back to the present. Let that sink lol.

Hard to say since there's no novel to base this on.

What I am aware of is this is part of a gov't (Sichuan I believe) funded drama and a collaboration of the Silk Brocade Museum. Costume Designer is the same team from A Dream of Splendor, and Art Designer won Magnolia Award. So, with all that, it's a good assumption that there will be effort placed on the costume, more importantly not just how pleasant the outfits will look, but how accurate the attires will be to the Tang Dynasty. I believe they will place more importance on accuracy, especially since this drama is to promote China's silk fabric. On the other hand, other dramas' costumes may look more appealing bc their main priority is pretty or aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

JYY starts off as a merchant's daughter so her outifts will be less extravagant but still better than the average household as her family is probably one of the big fabric merchants. When she marries in to ml's household, that is when he outfits will look more colourful and extravagant.

I feel like airing in December or January is not the best because it’s at the end of the year for December and I think it doesn’t make it onto the war shows and then in January it’s like the first month of the year and then follow by hundreds of other drama so then when its award time, they forget about the drama in January
