Fun action scenes and an unrealistic antagonist
This show had so much potential in the first half, and I really wanted to like it. The cast is incredibly talented and honestly the only reason I stuck it out until the end.
Unfortunately, the story never felt complete to me—especially when it came to the characters. The only one who truly felt fleshed out was Park Bo Gum’s character. There was an attempt to build depth for the antagonist and his network of cronies, but it ended up feeling uneven: we were given a lot of details, yet somehow still not enough to truly understand them.
In the end, strong acting carried a weak narrative, leaving me wishing the writing had matched the cast’s potential.
