A satisfying revenge plot with a happy ending

Really good revenge-plot kdrama with a happy ending that the leading couple truly deserved. The FL went through so much turmoil, this one hit home because it honestly reminded me of how I was once hurt by an ex-best friend and an ex-boyfriend. I could relate to the FL and how she felt whenever she caught them in bed together while also disrespecting her as if she never mattered to them. The FL did a great job at depicting her pain throughout the series. You never realize that the people closest to you can secretly be in competition with you, when all you’ve ever done is love them genuinely, but they’re the ones waiting to stab you in the back.
The FL believed the love between her ex-husband and best friend was mutual and sincere, but she was sadly mistaken. The level of betrayal she experienced while nearly losing her life was devastating. Getting a second chance changed everything for her, and I loved seeing her finally stand up to them as she found true happiness with her new husband who would go to the ends of the earth to protect her.

So far 1000/10 masterpiece!!

15 episodes in, and Against the Current is already proving to be an absolute masterpiece! The lead actors and the entire supporting cast are doing an incredible job bringing this story to life. What I appreciate most is how the narrative brings the background characters, who are so often overlooked in traditional period dramas, straight to the forefront. You realize every single character’s journey is just as important as the main leads. The screenwriters have woven the plot together beautifully, highlighting the harsh realities of the era. Regardless of whether these women are rich or poor, they barely have any rights in a society built entirely for the benefit of men. Yet, they are all fighting to survive, endure, and live on their own terms. Lanxiang uses her sharp intellect and her survival instincts to make her way to freedom while she just wants to live happily with her adoptive parents. It is so empowering to see that every character in this cdrama serves a meaningful purpose, and their struggles don’t go unnoticed.

As for our leads, Lanxiang and Jinqi their romantic storyline proves that a true slow-burn romance is always worth the wait. I love a cdrama that focuses on deep yearning from the ML rather than relying on the typical “love at first sight” trope.

This fantasy cdrama is a MASTERPIECE ♾️/10

When I first watched Till the End of the Moon, I was blown away. This is by far the best cdrama I’ve ever watched. I didn’t expect to be so drawn to these characters, Tantai Jin and Su. It wasn’t a surprise that this cdrama had so much amazing chemistry between the leads, top-notch production, great acting, and phenomenal casting.
After I finished the drama, I found out about the novel, which was also very well received. The directors did an amazing job showcasing the three different lives and marriages. It felt like I was watching multiple storylines in one, and that’s what made this cdrama (for me) untouchable.
This drama is so good that I’ve been thinking about watching it a second time just to see if there were any scenes I might have missed. Usually, if I watch a drama more than once, it becomes one of my ultimate favorites.
I understand that some fans were upset about not getting their “happy ending” like in the novel, but at least during the cliffhanger it was shown that Tantai Jin will come back to Su and their daughter. So, in order for me to feel satisfied with a happy ending for my favorite rollercoaster-ride cdrama couple, I read the last chapters of the novel and I was satisfied.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi work together in many more dramas in the future. I honestly can’t get enough of their incredible chemistry. This cdrama is truly a masterpiece.
