Uh-oh, daddy's home!!!

Ladies and gentlemen.

I won't beat around the bush, I'll just come out and say it. I have a Xie Wei problem. I hesitate to call it an addiction... maybe a more accurate way to put it is third degree burns to my brain, like someone who stared at the sun for way way too long. Ling He as the ML Xie Wei in SOKP was my ultimate, and nothings ever been the same since.

Maybe you don't feel the same way I do. Maybe you don't really really wish you could find exactly the right spot to smack yourself in the dome with a Le Cruset to get selective amnesia that makes you forget watching SOKP completely, so you could re-live watching it for the first time all over again. And that's okay. It probably just means you're a normal, healthy, well-adjusted individual. To each his own. But I do have to say that.... hey. Yeah. I might have Xie Wei-related brain damage, fine. I'll admit. But I am NOT the only one. Noooo sir, there's plenty of us. We wander MDL like somebody in the middle of the Gobi desert looking for water. Perhaps you've seen one of us out and about. We are half blind and we drool and speak in gibberish, saying nonsensical things like "This ML is too nice" and "Why didn't they film more scenes in the snow."

Ever since SOKP ended, whenever Ling He is in another drama we, the Xie Wei-impaired individuals, race to see it, hoping once again for the glory days of yore. But what ends up happening is we grab our monitor and we shake it to death and say "WHY!!! WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO ME LING HE??! WHAT GODS MUST I APPEASE!!! ANSWER ME NOW I BEG OF YOU!!!"

And every time he does a green flag ML role, we show up in comments gakking like a cat trying to puke up a fur ball and everyone who doesn't understand is like "ughh get away from me", but that's just the sad reality of life as a Xie Wei-impaired individual.

So now I'm just going to say something directed only toward my people:

GUESS WHAT MY PRETTIES, HE'S BACK!!!!!!

Your days of wandering lost in the desert of MDL are OVER. This is the BADASS version of Ling He. Some might even say, the REAL Ling He. The devious, dangerous, and slightly cranky Ling He. I mean I could cry. Like the sun rising after an eternal night of darkness, the gods smile upon us once again.

What else even is there to say. You wanna know about the FL? About the vibe? The plot? The pacing or the bgm or the costumes? This is the same director who did Blossom. It's par excellence. Top tier goods. A-game.

Right now (ep 9) Xie Wei - errr I mean Xie Zheng - is quiet, wounded and limping around acting like a poor injured bird. Yeah that ain't gonna last....

*laughs in snow madness*

Buckle up, kiddies. It's about to get GOOD.
