The writers of these dramas are so incredibly out of place with reality. CEO's by default have a very stable EQ. It's the nature of that position to have absolutely incredible ability to connect with people. One of the CEO's primary job is managing people. It's hilarious watching Cdramas project CEO as emotionally stunted. Reality is, every CEO can discuss Einsteins theories naked in front of 1000 people, which is being televised without flinching.
This is not just applicable to CEO's. This applies to actors, doctors, politicians, professors etc etc. All these professions demand people to have high EQ.
Watching Cdramas make mockery of men in these professions is basically stupid writing. These dramas want the FL to end up with handsome CEO's but don't want the CEO to ever look at other girls. So, they come up with 'emotional damage' stunt, which makes no sense.
This was a damn good drama, a Wuxia & romance that delivered on what it promised to do.
The story felt rushed as it approached the end & few extra episodes would have served the drama better. the FL needs to do something about her eye-brows. At times they looked bleached and my eyes were forced to look at them than her wonderful acting.
The love story was confusing as hell for me too.For first few episodes, I thought the ML was gay.They had a montage…
Completely agree with you, I enjoy Asian romances more than the western ones.
These are minor quibbles, the drama was exceptionally enjoyable. This drama is my second fav drama based on games.
Think my only take was that the ML in every Cdrama is very similar & that can get boring pretty fast. Although I don't want them to create a ML similar to reality, I hope they vary as the FL do vary.

Thats another thing I am confused as hell as well. Cdrama FL always go for looks. the FL in this drama meets the 2ML in uni and took her like a look and 2 seconds to start drooling over him.
The ML on the other hand never shows an iota of sexual attraction to opposite gender - ever. Even with the first girl, he loved her. There was no physical attraction shown. It was pure love because he felt the need for her in his life. This basically was a prop used by the drama to keep the ML away from other girls. Cdramas use various unbelievable props to neuter ML sexuality. In fact, watching ML in Cdramas is so unbelievably cringy. They are so fake men.

meanwhile, the ML for some strange reason will not look at other girls even when the FL is with another guy. It is unique to Cdrama ML's. They will never show an iota of sexual attraction to girls.
The worst thing about this shoddy drama would be when the 2ML screws the FL, at the point ML will crawl back to her and beg her to take him and he will worship her because she took him.
As always it's the 2ML who turns typical Cdrama FL into a used condom. This was supposed to a strong FL, instead she turned into a stupid one. Rule of thumb, never date stupid men or women. They will drag you down along with them.
Modern Cdrama romances are hit or a miss. When they miss, they miss by a lot.

Huge fan of this set up. This is a good cliche BUT they could have done better, the ML was just kissing the lip of the girl. It needed more contact. Next time, please go all out, this literally is a scene where fluids are being exchanged mouth to mouth.

from watching few Cdramas, i can narrate how this goes
2ML will screw the FL eventually. the simping ML who will keep waiting for the girl who never waited for him, will eventually be brought down and suffer more in love and business. Basically he will become the most pathetic version of himself. FL after seeing true colors of 2ML will go back to ML who is waiting for her like a dog. Then they will combine and resolve some issues.
There really is no reason to watch a drama that has been repeated in numerous other Cdramas
It was very impressive. FL acting was superb. The way she portrays her guilt and how it consumes her to the point where she disregards everything for a single purpose....

She is not thinking about risk or reward, it's a statement regarding the nature of life and love. If you are unwilling to put yourself out there in both cases, don't expect the reward.

ML is honest with himself, his feelings are changing as he is not that teenager anymore who fell in love. It's like saying the FL is not honest with herself because she is going to dinners and movies with the guy she liked in uni.
One has not realized what he wants, the other kind of knows she likes the guy but does not want to risk it. The expectation seems to be, ML realizes, chases, confesses etc etc, while the FL will just be doing nothing except choosing the guy - that seems lame.

FL started getting strong & I thought she would confess to the ML. Was a bit disappointed when that did not happen. She was not willing to risk putting herself out there and confess. With her character growth, that would seem logical with the risk and reward theme of drama in investing.
Alas, she is like most other cdrama FL. Will not risk her heart but wants all rewards of love.
