the FL is absolutely stunning.

usually in Asian Dramas, the ML are the prettier ones but the FL in this one is gorgeous.

Best thing about this drama is the main leads, their chemistry, their friendship and everything ele about them.
Everything else in this drama is average, not bad but not great either. It was ok..good.

If there ever was a drama where you can just watch it for the leads, this was it.

this is a nice mashup of few genres.

The relationship between ML and FL is being built up to be meaningful.

If this holds the pace, it would be another kdrama that will be impressive this year and there have been quite a few of them already.

Was watching the Marvel movie Shang-Chi seven rings and at one point the ML gets kicked in balls by his sister. It was supposed to be funny and it was and I had a good laugh watching it.
After I left the movie, that's the only scene I remembered from that stupid movie and it made me feel uncomfortable.
My thinking was, if it was the ML who kicked his sister in her private parts or slapped her boobs, would I have laughed? Would any film maker dare to have something like that in any main stream movie?

I would not have laughed either & in fact, I would be disgusted and repulsed at the ML but why did I laugh when the guy was getting kicked in the balls by his sister!

So when i watched this drama and how casually the FL repeatedly slapped the ML because she could, it was jarring.
No, the ML in asian dramas, though toxic are not seen slapping girls because they could.

The simp again repeatedly says sorry & the FL says it's alright - NOT it was never your fault & no where does she say sorry for her part in misunderstanding and mistreating him.

Have seen enough Cdramas with spineless ML to know how this one is going to progress.

Just to be clear, I like how the FL is portrayed. She is not the goody FL in most dramas. It's a refreshing change to have a FL that has bit of nastiness in her.

Wondering if a 35 old powerful man were to keep slapping a 25 year old poor girl repeatedly, would you consider that man as strong as well?

Have no problem with cold FL or even bossy ones. Having same generic FL would be shitty. Already the ML's have become very generic.

My issue with the FL in this drama is the physical abuse. she just slaps the ML repeatedly because she wants to take out her frustration and he was the nearest weak guy who won't hit back.

May be it's a cultural thing but I really don't understand some of the man-woman dynamics played out in Asian dramas.
They just don't pass the 'test'.

The ideal test to understand any gender dynamic is to swap the gender in a specific scenario and see if it passes the test.

I see this perverse 'strong' FL characterization creeping from Cdramas into Kdramas.

For most part these writers don't understand what strength means.
They think strength is shouting loudest, hitting men, treating men like shit and being a 'boss'. Nothing could be further from the truth.

People who don't respect other people & don't maintain their dignity in adversity are weak, irrespective of the situation. Real strength is not lashing at people or treating people who are kind to you as shit or abusing the weak.

The FL in this drama is bit better. She is nasty to everyone but there seems to be a backstory and very obvious character growth going ahead.

I find the ML in this drama much stronger as a person than the FL & it's not even a contest at this point.

Just wondering how would the viewers in Korea react if a 35 year ML keeps slapping a 25 year old FL across the face when it is very obvious he is taking out his displaced anger and frustration on her since she is an easy target.

Whether the mic was or not would not have any difference if she did not read the love letter.

instead of love letter, if she was having normal talk with the ML, she would not have gotten into trouble even in mic was on.

The problem is closing our eyes to the obvious physical and psychological abuse ML was put through by the FL for something he had ZERO fault. The drama made him repeatedly say sorry.

Was he at fault - no, never, not from any angle.
Was Fl at fault - yes, for reading love letter he did not ask her to read.
The accident like you keep repeating is not something FL acknowledges ever. Even at episode 8 she behaves as of ML was the one at fault and the simp keeps saying sorry.

Does the drama make the FL realize ML was NEVER at fault? NO, it does not and there in lies the problem with this drama.

Her reading the love letter was not an accident.
The mic was an accident.

Whether the mic was on or not would not have mattered if she did not read the love letter.
That's the core reason why she got into trouble, not because the mic was on but because she read love letter and got caught.

The drama then goes on in such a way that everyone thinks it's ML's fault.
She hits him, mistreats him and abuses him. Worse the ML lets her do it when he clearly should know it is none of his fault.

The drama at some point should have made the FL realize she was at fault and make up to the ML. instead, we get the same bullShit that the ML was at fault repeatedly and he keeps saying sorry.
I have watched few more episodes and this is a recurring theme, he keeps saying sorry and the FL never realizes she is the one who should be saying sorry.

This drama is a shitfest with couple of morons simping for an arrogant and entitled girl. She does not deserve the ML and I can easily see how toxic it would be for the ML if they ever got together. She would basically screw him as she has been doing all her life.

I understand what the writer is trying to convey in this drama but it's unnatural and that's not how men think. It basically goes against the most fundamental aspect of human growth - puberty.

Imagine watching dramas after dramas where the Female Lead, who is near 30, incredibly beautiful, successful, rich and straight orientation....never looks at guys, never been attracted to any guy in her life because she want's some one who is as good as her in physics or has some trauma..etc etc.
That would be unrealistic portrayal. Hence why you don't see these kinds of FL in Cdramas, because the women who are writing these dramas know that's not how women are & they know very well what happens once a girl hits puberty.

The POV of women are obviously fleshed out with their feelings shown in Cdramas. There would be no such thing happening in Cdramas, including this one because the writer obviously has no idea how to go about it.

The 'REASON' for a man in late twenties never having had a crush in his life is at a whole different level of fakery.

The dramas was very good but the ML was pretty much a fake, like every other Cdrama ML.
But I think I understand why the ML's are written this way in Cdramas. It looks like that's what the viewers want for the FL, a pure and unspoiled man.
While I can't relate to that, I am certainly starting to understand how this forms a huge part in a Cdramas success & it is starting to make sense why the 2FL in Cdrama is usually a bitch who is hard to like.
