kdramas has a way of normalizing crimes on men by women as if they are of no consequence or funny. It's not just this drama but in many dramas men get beaten up by females and it's shown as funny.

morally grey FL's are nothing new to Kdramas. There are many Kdramas with similar kind of FL.
What we never get is a morally grey ML, who is shown to have had relationships with multiple women.
Surprised that people are acting surprised at this kind of FL as if it's something new to Kdramas. It's not, if it was the ML who is shown enjoying himself shagging multiple women, then that would be new.
but the female writers of these Kdramas would never have a ML like that. The ML can be a psychopath but that psycho will never have multiple relationships. In fact it's surprising that the ML is not pure virgin in this one, that's what the female writers of these usually go for with their ML.
Even in Lighter and Princess, the ML did not have a girl apart from FL in that drama. And the FL had another guy tagging along for a large part of the drama.
That drama was basically the pull and push between the ML and FL & that kind of storyline works.
in this one, it's basically the cdrama tested love triangle where the ML would be chasing the FL who for half the drama would be weeping for another guy.
If the person you are with is confused between choosing you or an opportunity, choose your self a favor and dump that person while they are still confused.
Cdrama's most favorite trope - ML has the front row seat to see FL crushing/waiting/weeping over another man. In fact ML must know how much FL loved other men.
men are not wolves and women are not some helpless riding hoods.
men are just men, doing the dance to attract women & women pick the best dancer and go home with him.
modern men and women are not ashamed of their libido or active sex life. Even in Kdramas, the women are not shy or hiding their sexuality. They are open about their attraction to men and show it on screen, it's only the ML's in Kdramas who are shy little innocent virgins whose balls have not dropped yet.
from the time they hit puberty to their last breath, men are thinking about sex all the time. It;s not ideology, it's basic biology.

to put it bluntly, human race survives because men are horny. human race evolves because horny men compete with each other for women and the best ones gets laid.
If you got any doubts, go and check the dating scene. Women are not dating poor good men with questionable looks. They are all looking to date hot men with prospects.

When I first started watching Kdramas few years back, I was blown away by the cold CEO and poor girl romance genre.
They were my go to for guilty pleasure,
unfortunately, the CEO's are not cold anymore. They don't even resemble CEO's or men that hold any sort of power. the poor girl has been replaced and she is not longer a poor girl.
There are no CEO's in kdramas anymore. All you get is a hot virgin guy with the title of CEO but lacking the authority and maturity that comes with that position. Anyone who has worked with men and women of power and authority would immediately identify these ML's as absolute fakes.
I have made fun of crime dramas as well. There was a drama where the bad guys were with guns and they were running towards the leads to shoot. It was like 'dude, you got a gun, you don't need to get into stabbing range to use it'. It was just stupid take.
Some genres allow bit more creative liberties but if they are just copy pasting past dramas in terms of building their central character, it must be mad fun off, just like how all ML's are exact copies in all kdrama romances.
No disrespect to other members, I am making fun of the drama, the writer, the director and actors, especially the ML, who is super hot and has to pretend to be a pure virgin.
One of the best romance in a Kdrama recently was in 'Moving'. The whole ML's backstory of how falls in love with his wife and how broken he becomes when she dies was brilliantly done. Even the FL's romance with the 2ML was better than anything offered in straight up Kdrama romance dramas.
Cheesy romances have their place but the best romances are ones with real depth. Now a days all you get a ML who is pure virgin, FL has more variations, there is 2ML who basically follows FL everywhere and she lets him and sometimes a bitchy 2FL. That's it, that's basically every kdrama romance now a days.
