I love it all. The FL is doing a fantastic job for such a young actor. Her storyline as an investigator is compelling. Her skills are a coroner are a little hard to believe after some of those cursive glances at the corpses. The ML is finally melting and showing off his dimple when he smiles. Lip action isn't bad either. Most of the supporting crew is very good. Her mother goes a little overboard with the same facial expressions all the time.

What's steamier than a tryst in a hot spring? Now that they are reunited and can be happy lovers, what are the challenges ahead?

Xian Ying is No. 1. Shen Du is gorgeous no that he has softened and even cracks the odd smile. We're finding out a little more about the other characters. So far so good. I'll wait a while longer to rate this drama, but for now it's an 8.5 for me.

Blood and gore galore. The third prince's bloodlust is unquenchable. This drama is definitely not for the fainthearted. Queen Woo's attempt to survive and drag the country with her is breathtaking. Can't make out all the differing factions and their aims at this point. Looking forward to Sept. 11.

Just finishing ep 3 and it's hard to differentiate between all these long-bearded men and their motives except they all seem to be scummy but the 3rd prince has them all beat. How is the Queen going to survive them and her sister?

Fiction takes license. And we should be happy it does. Who wants to watch dreary dramas about repressive societal strictures against women.

No English subtitles in any of the usual places. I guess they think nobody is interested in these middle-aged actors.

I can't get enough of middle age actors. Other than Wu Lei most of these young idol actors are a waste of space.

Me too. Just finished Are You The One and was pleasantly surprised at the all around happy ending for the good people. Coming back to this drama even though i"m getting frustrated a t how slow these episodes are released and translated. I do like the FL using her smarts and no being intimidated by the her stern husband. Loosen up hubby and recognize a good thing when it comes your way.

How often do we see a drama that ends with three happy couples? While it started to sag a bit toward the end and took its time getting the evildoers out of the way, on the whole the story was interesting and had enough good action scenes and some endearing moments to satisfy.

The continued harrassment by the Dowager's 'sister' is finally coming to an end as her daughter gets wise to all the manipulations. Now the drama is filled to the brim with ceremony. These two episodes take their time luxuriating over the couples' joining hands in their new life's endeavours. Oppulent costumes take to the stage only to be discarded for a night of bliss behind the red curtain. The Lord receives a promotion and a summons to the capital. The new emperor is trying to weed out corruption. Who will get ensnared in all of these machinations. I wish for a little more time for romance between our smitten three couples.

These past episodes have been painfully boring. The noble ladies' mannerisms and one-upmanship are tedious to say the least. I hate that Miantang has been put into this environment. The military quest is hardly shown in any detail. The Empress is fending off an annoying older sister so there's been none of the banter between her had the emperor which is so enjoyable. The only couple that's even remotely enjoying their relationship is He Zhen and her devoted doctor.

Finished ep 32 and things are going swellingly, but with some dark clouds up ahead. His mother, aunt and intended cousin have their noses out of joint. The happy couple don't care about the naysayers. The other couple (emperor and empress) continue to feel each other out. She's clever and no shrinking violet. I'm enjoying their talks and hope they will keep getting fonder of each other.
