Just rewatching before tomorrow's launch and am so impressed again with Wang Yang's short, but impressive role. He left us too soon.

It looks like they are looking for a season 2 but not all wine fermentation leads to clarification. The final product doesn't quite have enough sparkle.

I was hoping the last two episodes would have decent subtitles by now, but no such luck. Will have to wait to find meaning in the end of this drama. Too bad.

I'm heading toward the finish line, but suddenly for ep 21 the subtitles have become deficient and it's hard to get all the plotting.

I'm warming up to the 'new' FL, but the ML's personality is even more annoying than his hairstyle.

Already in ep 1 the evil family members are not shy about showing their hand. The eldest daughter survives and does an about face.

Just started watching the interesting intro and all the schemes around the daughters, but not crazy about the main leads. Not much else out there to watch so I guess I'll keep going and can only hope.

I just finished this drama of tear ducts on steroids. . Had to zip through some of the later episodes. The ML is exceptional. His intense romantic commitment to the relationship became the touchstone of the whole enterprise. His family were delightful, hers was a dumpster fire that gradually became sanitized. The villains were pretty one-dimentionally evil, but the fence-straddlers were more interesting. I'm also thinking of giving up on romantic Kdramas because of just how unrealistic they are given the domestic violence statistic and misogyne that prevails there in the everyday life of women.

I usually like more mature actors to the baby-faced ones, but this one doesn't cut it.

At the bow of the boat accompanied by frolicing dolphin is the best place for this couple after such a n arduous journey. It's delightful to have spent time with such a courageous and intelligent character. The masked man was flawed and only discovered his true self when he fell in love. The women in the family were forced to reevaluate what's imprtant in life more than once and gradually became more self-confident and skilled to the point when toward the end their men returned it was evident that there was no going back to 'traditional' roles. The supporting cast was sublime. The production values and the OST added much to the total package. This is highly recommended.

Love like the Galaxy

The fight at Seven Star Mansion was our of this world. Zhi and Yanxi are at odds but not totally estranged. She's ready to bring her cargo back to the restaurant and he's bringing a beautiful hostage back for the Emperor's pleasure. Will he ever get tired of being a tool?

Having two mothers can be good except when one is constantly crying and doing follish things. Zhi's moter is another one of those timid traditional shrinking violets. Good thing she was raised by her grandfather. Domestic violence isn't pretty so they better come up with a plan to get her auntie our of there.
Zhi and Yanxi had a carefree moment to enjoy the carp lanters while he gave her a kiss on the forehead. What a waste of her luscious lips.

Tragedy strikes. Mdm Hua is hounded to death by her own daughter. Zhi and ShaoYao are joined in grief by the family and surprisingly the Empress Dowager. A very poignant moment when childhood friends part from one another. Mourning leaves broken hearts but I hope not broken spirits.

Episode 17 is full of Spawn of the Devil. Some women are just evil and use all kinds of excuses to justify their actions. They blame everyone else for the fallout when things go south. Luckily, grandma has got a sweet little innocent bringing her roasted chestnuts. Yanxi will have to seek solace elsewhere. Where do you suppose.

Half-way through and this story never flags. Grandma's letters are discovered and they are sentimental reminiscences of the past by two old friends. Yanxi is revealed as the dreaded security chief and will now have to face Zhi with his new identity. The Emperor will decide what he wants to do with the Hua family.

Still early in the drama and am enoying how we learn more and more about the main characters. Teachers can be young or old but they must be able to get their message across. Yanxi is the Emperor's go-to-guy and now that's could be a problem as he investigates the 'love' letters between two old women. Zhi is so busy she hardly has time to eat, but finds time to give her fellow a bowl of rice, a bracelet and a cookie. Such riches.

I'm on ep 8 now and loving it. Zhi is moving forward a record speed. Freeing all the maids and giving them employment in her sweet berry factory. The jars of wine are waiting for her wedding but paying dividends now. Let's raise a toast to that.
