I agree actors should not be forced into intimate scenes but then they shouldn't accept dramas that are billed as romances. I also don't want to see actors being pressured into extreme weight loss. At least in most Kdramas characters seem to enjoy eating, not so in most Cdramas where copious prepared food goes to waste.

Kdramas always have people get drunk out of their skull. Is this really such a big part of the culture? Another thing is the kissing scenes are mostly filmed devoid of any real feelings or passion. This is annoying when the couples have sworn their devotion to each other.

Why is the mother of the three old spinsters insisting the main leads are not meant to be when they obviously love each other after getting to know each other well? Jung Woo foolishly takes her word for it and is cruel to Soon Doek by pronouncing he no longer has feelings for her. I don't like this turn the scriptwriters took. It was already known that since he as the king's son-in-law could not marry and she as a widow is not allowed to marry under their societal norms so their relationship was a dead end to begin with. Teasing us with possibilities up to this point was off-putting. Anyways, she's way too short for him. Hard to watch him bent out of shape when he's with her.

Just finished it on dramacool and it was worth the wait to get to the end and see the retribution doled out. This is a definite 10 for me. Superb acting. Great work/friendship relationship between female leads. Slow build up in the romance department with an outstanding acting performance by male lead. Sure hope season two materializes soon.

It has humor, romance, intrigue, a very resourceful female lead and a super intelligent male lead who becomes somewhat stymied only in the presence of true love. What could be more fun?

They barely made it out alive. The danger is not over for either of them. The assassins did not find them but they found the layout of the crimes and the portrait. Who will come to the rescue?

Here's another viewer who is not impressed with the male lead. Can't figure out why he was cast opposite Zhao Lusi in such an epic drama.

Why has Young Hwa become this puddle of tears from a heroic, resourceful rescue hero? This is getting on my nerves, as is the cackle of big dead daddy I've had to turn the sound off and just listen to his dialogue. Somebody put these people out of their misery. The kiss of death looks passionless.

Never made it through ALP so have no attachment to the prequel but looking at the first few minutes I have to wonder if Zhao Lusi can hold this drama together on her own? I guess I'll come back when I run out of other things to watch.

Ruyi is totally caught up with who harmed her mother-figure, the Empress. The Marquis is totally obsessed with Ruyi and instead of respecting her as his Master he covets her as a love objects. She will have none of it and Ning is giving up on him becoming an ally in fixing the rot in the An dynasty.

Making yourself an icicle while burning up with love is dedication. How more romantic can you get. That cute relationship between the princess and Yuan Lu is warming up too.

Enjoying more and more. She's a feisty little thing and talented to. I hope they can get together in this new Joseon and he can be spared heartbreak (literally).

The king of Wu is making it clear he is not very honorable and doesn't deserve to be rescued. Ning knew he was a scumbag all along, but little sis is deflated. Ruyi is leaving corpses in her wake. What fun, Ruyi is playing dress-up with 'Official Gu'. Marquis sees their lovey dovey stuff and is gutted. The Scarlet Guards are no match for our power couple.

Yes, it makes the character laughable and cartoonish. So sad.

I was just thinking about his poker face and remembered that in Royal Feast he had the same poker face and on top of that was a totally viscious character.

In enemy territory a touching scene or the bros. lookeing for the remains of their compatriots and then giving them a fiery funeral by the riverbank. From the to sublime to the ridiculous. Our caped heroes warded off the vegetable deluge with panache. The prince in waiting showed great resolve and immense bladder control. I must add that the soundtrack is absolutely mesmerizing.

The antidote has arrived so he survives for another day. It's important to get things out in the open so there is no more misunderstanding. The Wu delegation is laying down conditions for the Marquis to survive and prosper in An. The couple also renew their dedication to one another. But, why is he such a wuss when it comes to love-making?
